Dejima Asset Management

About Dejima Asset Management

Just as Dejima, the artificial island created in the Bay of Nagasaki was an innovative creation for Dutch traders to do direct trade and exchange in Japan, our asset managers created a fund to directly facilitate investment in Japan in an innovative way. Since 2005, the fund has aimed to provide investors with geared exposure to the Japanese equity market. Through convertible bonds and warrants of companies listed on the Japanese Stock Exchanges, the Japanese Synthetic Warrant Fund (JSW) has consistently outperformed the market for the last 10 years. Japan is an attractive market. It's the world's third largest economy and the largest creditor nation. An economic recovery is taking hold, driven by regional growth, a flexible exchange rate, and most importantly significant structural reforms. Efforts in the past decade to improve corporate balance sheets and reduce corporate structural inefficiencies have produced a healthy starting point from which to grow. Our asset management team has a combined 70-year experience in the Japanese market. We are Japanese equity specialists and have created a fund with a successful track record and long-term market relationships. If you would like to find out more about our unique and successful fund, please get in contact. DAM is an appointed representative of Quaero Capital LLP (Quaero) which is authorised and regulated in the United Kingdom by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and as a result possesses authorisation to provide certain investment services to professional clients and eligible counterparties only, we are therefore not permitted to provide investment services to private retail clients. The JSW Fund is managed and advised by Quaero and DAM, respectively.
