From mid November we will start our festive afternoon teas, which are to be pre-booked with limited availability. Better late than never. We would like to thank everyone who entered our Halloween competition, we have two joint winners which are Caitlyn and Evelyn Cruickshank. I think you will agree the look super!! Please feel free to come and collect your prize when available.

With halloween coming we thought we would run a little competition, bring you and your kids grandchildren into the cafe in fancy dress and be entered into the free prize draw for best dressed. Winner will be announced the following tuesday. Come and try our chocolate grave yard cake!!

Today some of Martia the basset hound family came to see us, Bernie and his girlfriend Penny. They had this lovely picture together after watching there owners eat cake and drink coffee.

So just incase you did not know we are dog friendly here, Martia had a lovely visit and we felt she was rather well dressed for the occasion. Nothing better than a bit of doggy modeling by roman artifacts!!

Todays cake. I dont think it needs introducing. All i can say is that i will never buy shop brought marzipan after making this, its so much nicer

Carrot and coriander soup bubbling away in the pot come and warm yourself up on this chilly but beautiful day. Then obviously as you would have had a good portion of your 5 a day then why not treat yourself to a sweet treat, maybe the Mississippi mud pie or a savory scone goats cheese and onion today. Mulligatawny soup is the new soup on the menu today- come and grab some with some lovely buttery crusty walnut bread ;-)

new on the menu chicken tikka curry with basmati rice and garlic naan, and chilli con carne come and warm yourselves up on a chilly day

more soup on the go, broccoli and stilton as we sold out yesterday. Also available spicy parsnip and if i get time leek and potato.

The days required are Tuesday to friday from 11.30 to 2.30
