Base Camp is a crucial part of your Paintball experience. It's where you come between game zones the rest, reload and re-hydrate.
Take a look around the Delta Force Cobham Base Camp to give you an idea what to expect.

Transporting a Jaguar Jet to its new home at Delta Force Paintball Birmingham. This is not something you see up the Motorway everyday. Can't wait to get it installed for the lucky Birmingham paintballers

Went yesterday, even though the weather was shocking the experience was great and the staff friendly. Although Delta Force paintball sights are more expensive than other sights it's well worth the trip. I ly 2 negative points, take your own padlock olif you intend to use a locker, the car park isn't safe and they charge you a Non refundable £3 to use a bloody padlock one of the biggest issues I have to raise though is the health and safety side of things, upon entering the site you should be made to fill out registration forms for the day, we arrived and little late and missed the first game. Upon entering site we was just told to put our body armour and overall on and get our stuff ready. No registration forms were completed, if anything did happen to happen to us whilst we was on site there would have been one hefty law suit to follow. The staff are quiet young there and although it's hard to monitor everyone I believe there should still be some form of system in place where this doesn't happen in the future for both site protection and safety of those playing. Highly recommended for a day out.

My wife bought our tickets as a deal off a RPG seller in our local town which included 100 free paints in the morning and another 100 in the afternoon. As I have done paintballing before I knew extra canisters of paint would be needed as 100 would NOT be near enough and if you ran out of paintballs the fun would stop. 1000 extra balls cost £69.00 on tge day. I have awarded 5 stars, because the venue, communications, organisation and game areas in the woods were excellent and we really had a great day!

I would suggest the following minor improvements though:

- Transparency of costs especially for first timers otherwise you will lose potential long term customers.

- Cleaner toilet facilities!

- Game Marshalls to stick to game rules and be clearer explaining the rules to the paintballers to avoid confusion or arguments.

Thanks to all ar Delta for a superb day - kids were shattered and slept on the journey home

See you all again soon !

I've been here on numerous occasions and can't recommend it enough!!!! I always seem to be teamed up with idiots who ruin it for everyone but nothing a few neck shots can't solve I find the prices reasonable and can't see how people complain when it's stated on the website how much equipment costs I had an absolute fantastic time today and even earn myself a certificate as a father of 2 I've always focused on them but I have honestly found a hobby I have a true passion for and intend to visit for many more years to come!!! And the staff were fantastic and a good laugh they couldn't help enough sadly they couldn't join in when there was 10 of us against 22 but I got war wounds to show off thank you very much hemel team for another memorable experience!!

User

Held my son's 15th birthday yesterday. They had an awesome time. I may hold my bday with the ladies there too...might pass out after the first session

User

Had an amazing time at delta force the other week for my birthday, had a great day and paintballing with delta force was a great way to spend it. Special thanks to our marshal JR, he made sure the day was great fun for everyone. And he made it a day to remember

User

Good fun, great place and awesome staff. Jay was a superb instructor and we all had a really good time. Not our first trip and definitely not our last. Also a really nice variety of games and sections. Would recommend the all day or half day Sunday sessions as you get a superb opportunity to experience everything and meet new people. A must visit!!

User

Fantastic place. Instructors were very nice and informative. Went there for my son's birthday party and it was a total success. Very cold but kids had a fab time

User

Fantastic day celebrating my daughter’s birthday with her friends... informative safety briefing and marshals on hand. Girls had a blast and and won all their games... overall it was a winning day! On the food front, order their pizza but would suggest taking snacks and drinks as it can get costly... planning another day in the summer! 😄

User

Absolute great day out everyone enjoyed it and service was excellent staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely be doing it again

User

A dozen boys all ages 12 had the best time on Sunday. It was well organised, great safety briefing and staff were really helpful.

Thank you Hemel Staff. The manager also took the time to speak to the boys at the end, said they were great, well behaved, listened and had a great time.

On a personal note, would be great if there was a viewing tower so you could see some of the action, also an enclosed area as it does get a bit chilly if you're not joining in!

Would highly recommend and I know the boys would want to do it again.

User

Just got back from a stag do there. Cracking day had Sam and Sam the Marshalls friendly helpful and kept all engaged 👍👍only downside is the price of the balls when you have a heavy trigger finger and the constant fogging of the masks. Maybe put in a safe zone in the games area to go in to sort masks out?

User

I attended yesterday (a Saturday) with a group of 12, we had a really good day as far as playing was concerned. I used to play very regularly at various sites.

Quick shout out to the manager from Bambury and the on site assistant manager, both were great and worked hard to make sure everyone was having a good day.

Great venue for actual paintball with some really good senior members of staff and some enthusiastic junior staff too.

Good mixture of arenas and objectives and the marshals/refs do what they can to keep the games running smoothly and fairly.

The cost of paint here is quite frankly a disgrace but hey, we pay it because we love playing. Sadly the equipment and consumables are pretty poor quality and I think players would enjoy their day a lot more of they brought their own set of paintball goggles with a thermal lens to avoid the dreaded haze. You have to live with the paintballs doing their own thing mid flight.

I would not resent spending £70+ per visit if I knew the money was being invested back into the staff more. I won't publicly disclose it on here but the young marshals work for an absolutely ridiculous wage purely (for a majority of them) because of their love for paintball. It's really quite sad to see and having found out yesterday that this hasn't (or has barely) changed in the last 8 years from when I used to work there, I plan on following this up in a formal way in due course.

All in all, recommend it, just don't forget your wallet and sometimes helpful having an extra body in the group who doesn't plan on playing to help watch over your belongings and help with turnaround.

User

The marshals were not very considerate about other teams constantly cheating and one leader even encouraged people to shoot a pheasant walking through the forest to gain extra points and obviously people started shooting which is not only cruel but illegal. Was not impressed and i eventually made them stop but other than those events my group had a good day.

User

Me and my group have never been paint balling before so we were well up for it.

However, the price for the paintballs and food are really expensive.

We had an altercation with another group who got really personal towards us. We notified the marshal that has looked after us all day and didn’t do anything to resolve this. The other team shot my team a few times while walking to the map or walking back up, the marshal saw but did not say anything.

I find that very rude when he has a duty of care.

There was a pheasant on the path when we were walking to one of the grounds, the marshal said “anyone who hits that pheasant gains extra point” so obviously people started to shoot it. We told him that was really disrespectful and how he encouraged the group to do it.

This was a really good experience, just disappointed how the marshal was rude to my group and did nothing to sort out the problems on the other team.

I felt like I should review because I was very anxious about the day, due to previous negative reviews. We were relocated at the last minute to the Hemel Hempstead site because there would be more children there. I took four boys age 12, and most players were kids age 12 up. The day was very structured and the staff friendly and helpful. The pizzas were good. Nothing happened to my car, thank goodness. It felt safe enough. I only gave it 3 stars because I got my tickets through an IPG street seller, but it would have been cheaper for me to buy it direct with Delta force, as I didn't have many players. We used 22 lots of canisters (100 balls) altogether for 4 players for 7 games, which was just about enough. The kids were completely knackered by the end. They will sleep soundly!

User

Booked with Groupon voucher 100 free paintballs for 10 people, then had to ring to book and was asked to pay a deposit which I did on the grounds that when everyone turned up deposit would be returned but I had to ring before 10am- which I did to be told deposit would be returned when the paperwork came back. Actually the deposit was apparently against another 100 balls per person... if you didn't take the balls your deposit was returned the party I booked it for took the whole box of paintballs which were not separated fro the ones which were already included nothing was said about the extra 100 balls in fact the party of 12 that went who were all over 20 years old went and bought over £400 worth of bullets and equipment. After numerous calls and emails they will not return my deposit yes it was £90 but they spent quite s bit in there bed at no time did the staff explain the deposit scheme - be very careful people the staff can't communicate

User

If you are lucky your car will be safe, otherwise, according to nearby people and police, anything can happen there. You are left with your own fate, management there does not consider basic facilities to run a business and safety & security an essential part. Especially in their land at the entry to the facility and car park. So, if you still decide to go, then leave anything and everything at home, they only have very few lockers/safe.

User

Due to the lack of locker space, we were forced to put all our belongings in the car.

Good day paintballing, but as you can probably see from other reviews theft is a common theme in this establishment. I'm not sure how you would feel having children around these people, if somebody had stumbled upon them in the act it could have been a lot more serious!

Staff were very heavy handed and aggressive when dealing with complaints, they really couldn't care less and were clearly used to dealing with these kinds of issues.

Shame, because a cheap CCTV investment or staff simply keeping an eye on parking could solve it all. 1* for that reason!

User

Day started very well, ended with stolen items and police reports.

For paintball itself it's great, I loved the layouts and the Marshall. Pricey on the ammo but this is understandable and expected. So no real problems there.

Why the one star rating?

Previous reviews cover points that I would make myself, although I feel the need to mention the tactical responses from the staff. If you happen to read the replies you'll notice they're just going through the motions and making the correct sounds without being insulting. It's see-through boring and unhelpful.

When items are being stolen from your car parks often it might be a good idea to install even the lowest of cost cameras to maybe show some good faith towards your customers.

I see Delta Force Paintball as a cheap business, not looking to even invest in one CCTV camera per site or maybe have staff check the car park routinely.

As you can see whoever is in charge of the overall facilities isn't willing to secure your property due to the small cost of a camera installation. They would prefer to repeat this problem again in the future and enjoy headaches that come with it.

To sum it up, they'll pretend to care with a response and mention the sign so they're legally covered. But will they invest in a single CCTV camera to watch your belongings.

Once again, paintball itself was damn fun but when it comes to your belongings, they've got a sign so they're covered✌
