We were honoured to have been recognised in a ceremony at the Civic Hall by the Lord Mayor of Leeds Eileen Taylor earlier today. Two of our members were in attendance for the ceremony and to pick up the certificate.

Horsforth's Dementia Action Week has been a great success
We are pleased to have achieved the following stats:
8 Events... 10 Group members organised and led events 200 attendances/ interactions with the public 25 new Dementia Friends created** 2 new window stickers awarded** 7 partner organisations involved
Many thanks to Horsforth Town Council, Horsforth Community Hub, Morrisons, Horsforth Live at Home, Memory Support Services, Cragg Baptist Church, St Margarets Church, Grove Methodist Church, and all the individuals in those organisations, and others, who have helped make Dementia Action week a success.
More importantly a big thank you to all those who attended our events to learn how you can help to improve the lives of those around you living with Dementia.

Great turn out of about 50 people for showing of "Still Alice" at the Grove Film Club. Thanks to the Grove Methodist Church, Film Club crew, and audience for making this a fitting climax to Dementia Action week in Horsforth. #DAW2019
Our thanks to everyone who attended 'The Last Memory' play production this evening. An audience of around 40 people enjoyed a moving and thought-provoking performance from the cast of Talking Stock. A reminder of the play The Last Memory, written by Alan Stockdill to be performed at St Margaret's Church at 7pm on Thursday 23rd May 2019 as part of Dementia Friendly Horsforth's programme of Dementia Action Week events.N.B: The play will now take place in the Church itself and NOT the Parish Centre. It's a free event and we hope to see you all there.
