Went in here yesterday about 5pm. Me and 10 others. Lovely atmosphere. Really nice cocktails and tried some gin with Parma violets. Bar man was really friendly. 1st time in years I've been in and will definitely be back

Well what a gem the food is amazing loved it I had the lamb steak cooked to perfection the flavour where spot on followed by a very moist 1000 calories sticky toffee pudding with ice cream what's not to love about it The surroundings were lovely but what made the place was the very friendly staff aim to please thank you so much for a perfect evening

Was there for my birthday celebration on Saturday 15th Oct 2016 and have to give Dempsey's 5stars for service and quality. Had previously been on Valentine's this year and had raved about the Mac n cheese with chorizo side that I had with my steak, taking time to compliment the chef then. Was sad to notice that this was no longer available to order and had to settle for rib eye with pepper sauce. Imagine my surprise when the steak came with the added bonus of Mac n cheese with chorizo on the side! I was thrilled to say the least. I grabbed the manager to thank him and he said he remembered me from the last time and so did the chef and as I had taken the time to personally thank him the last visit, he was happy to rustle up the Mac n cheese even though it was not on the menu. That made my evening! Also unbeknownst to me my partner had smuggled in the hedgehog cake she had made and it was delivered to our table resplendent with candles and the waiting staff si going Happy Birthday.

How was the steak? Absolute perfection!

The most accommodating and friendly team I’ve ever met. They catered to all our needs for a themed party and even

let me put up decorations to make it a Wonderland for our guests. Food buffet was fantastic: tasty, hot and the perfect amount. Awesome experience and definitely booking again xxx

I never win anything so i was pleasantly surprised when i won a 2 course meal for two by entering a fb competition. Me & my hubby have just enjoyed a 3 course meal & what a meal it was, perfect portions, tasty dishes & well presented food. The staff could not of done more for us, very attentive, polite & professional members of the team. Lovely evening, even better food, cant wait to go back. Thank You

Had the three course special menu last night all three courses were delicious I couldn't fault a single part of the meal. Me and my friend washed it down with the house white which was also delicious I will definately visit again �

Had the 3 courses for £19. I paid the £2 extra for the rump and the cheese board.

I was suitably wowed.

The rump steak was a "barrel cut" apparently and my goodness it was tender and delicious. Not one piece of waste. The sauce was fantastic.

Starter was a mackerel and beetroot salad. Lovely.

The cheese board was good quality.

I was recommended to visit. I pass that recommendation on.

A must do if in Carlisle.

Had an absolutely gorgeous meal here last week and will definitely be back both of us tried things we wouldn't normally choose and were really glad we did. Excellent food and service 5* and we highly recommend. Looking forward to trying the prosecco and small plates (tapas) offer in the near future ☺️

Had a beautiful meal in Dempsey last night to celebrate my Mums Birthday and would say it's one of the loveliest meals we have had, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Well done Dempsey and Thankyouxxx😊😊

Great meal last night. Cajun chicken salad followed by chicken risotto. So yummy. Staff excellent as always �

Brilliant friendly team asparagus starter perfectly cooked tasty and great texture, the small plate mains give you the chance to try a choice of three tasty mains and the chocolate mouse with orange crackle dust along with amazing orange sorbet wow! Probably the best pudding i ever had! Thank you all superb i'll be back!

After being disappointed by the seating arrangement at a nearby establishment my cousin and I popped around the corner to the wonderful Dempsey’s....we were warmly welcomed.

The food selection and cocktails were of high quality and the staff were attentive and knowledgable... we had a great time, can’t wait to visit on my return to the north west..

Great night in dempseys, large party all food excellent apart from mine which was bit cold but taken straight away and replaced with delicious veggie replacement and a g&t for free!! Staff were lovely and friendly too!!

main meal was very good the starter of garlic mushroom very poor should of been some bread ,mushrooms tasted of just boiled water

2 of my party last night didn't enjoy there steak the rest of meal was great disappointed as they were visiting us from London for our golden wedding we have been before and the meal was brilliant so was a bit upset when they didn't enjoy it

I went to the bar on Sunday the 1st of October 2017 to meet my friends at about 1.30 AM & a girl jumped the que, I said to her to get back into her place & the doorman said that he didn't like my attitude & told me to leave, all I wanted to do was go in & meet my friends, what did I do wrong? I won't be back as I wasn't made welcome, I enjoyed my time before but your doorman doesn't give a good impression of the place to customers because of his bias, I hope you sort it out.
