With the school summer holidays allowing greater flexibility, I have been trying to contact all those on the waiting list for riding lessons. I have managed to speak to most people but a few have been unavailable and one or two have said they would get back to me.

Notice to all our lovely clients – Cancellation Policy Many of you already know that keeping horses is very expensive. We need to make enough to pay our bills as well as paying staff to keep the yard running smoothly. Most people who forget, or cancel lessons and pony rides at short notice, are happy to pay for the session. Sadly, however, it is time to formalise the cancellation policy. So, please note that ......
If less than 48 hours notice has been given, a £5 fee will ...be charged. If less than 24 hours or no notice is given the full fee will be charged.
To enable us to continue providing lessons and rides at such reasonable rates, please ensure you cancel any sessions as early as possible so that we can offer the available slot to one of the many clients on our waiting list.

Stable Day - this Sunday! From 1 -4 pm. £27 each. Riding lesson, caring for ponies and horses, lots of good, clean (!) fun. Few spaces available for older children (8 years +). Booking essential.

NEW! SUNDAY FUNDAY As Saturdays are so busy with lessons, we are planning some Pony Fun sessions on Sundays. 4 - 7 years from 10am - noon. 8 years and over 1- 4pm. Grooming, riding and caring for the ponies.... First session is this Sunday 12th November. Booking essential. £27 per child.

great teachers my kids have come on so well. olivia even managed to get my cousin who wouldnt ride to ride plus want to start regular lessons in 30mins

Visited Denton stables as.part of a weekend away.

5 kids riding and 6 adults watching.

1 - the.kids had blast. Smiles all round

2 - it rained ALOT. And we adults were welcomed into the owners home for tea and biscuits.

Very friendly family, always greeted with a smile. Jacob loves going to Denton and the all girls are great with him.

This is a fantastic riding school in a fantastic location! The riding instructors are excellent and keep safety a priority. Our children enjoy riding there and have progressed well. By far the best riding school we've attended, with a very high standard of teaching. The family is wonderful and always welcoming.

Our daughter loves spending time at Denton Hall with her friends, learning how to care for horses as well as ride them - the learning experience is just fantastic. We'd highly recommend it to horse lovers of all ages and abilities.

Olivia and her team have been amazing at teaching our girls to riding ponys. Olivia is patient and understanding with my eldest who has Down syndrome and this has been the first time my little girl has managed to enjoy a whole lesson without getting bored or frustrated. Olivia spent time with my girls before hand getting to know them and from that is able to tailor her approach accordingly. Thank you all for bringing such happiness and fun to two little girls with very high expectations. We would recommend this riding school to anyone.

My boys LOVE LOVE LOVE this riding school! Olivia and Carole are wonderful with the children. Very good with SEN kids too. Always get a warm welcome, a lovely cuppa and we never want to leave Carole's homely kitchen. Our favourite place highly recommend 10 stars

Just home from a week at Denton Hall training for my BHS stage two exam. Absolutely loved my time here. The family are so lovely and welcoming, the B&B is great- yummy food and a comfy nights sleep and of course the lessons were excellent! During my week I organised lessons at Blackdyke- a short drive away- which is a training centre that holds the BHS exams. It was great to ride horses that would be used for exams and was a real confidence boost. However, although I progressed through my Blackdyke lessons, extra training with Olivia at Denton Hall really helped me understand more about feel and sitting deeper in the saddle. Through this extra training I was able to progress quicker in my Blackdyke lessons and the whole experience has certainly boosted my confidence for my exam. I cant thank Olivia and her family enough for all the help and for being so welcoming! Cant wait for my next visit and looking forward to bringing my own horse for a little training holiday next summer.

Denton hall is a beautifully welcoming riding school, set in equally beautiful surroundings. Carole, Olivia and Ellie are very kind and supportive and as a result of this, and her new found love of horses, our daughter loves it there. She has been spending time at the stables for around 7 months and it's rapidly becoming her favourite place to be! With Olivia's thoughtful yet fun tuition she is learning so much about riding, horse care and all that goes into running a livery yard. For me... a cuppa and a chat in the nice warm kitchen is a lovely bonus when I'm driving her about!

Brilliant place to visit & stay. Beautiful views and is run by a lovely family.
