Oxford Women in Computer Science having fun at CogX The Festival of AI and Emerging Technology #OxWoCS #cogx2019

Today an enjoyable time was had at the Computer Science Conference with a Game of Thrones flavour.

It’s the Cheltenham Science Festival this weekend and there will be a screening of the documentary AlphaGo. A brilliant lecture by @demishassabis at @CompSciOxford opens this movie, which tells the fascinating story of how AI triumphed over over the game of Go.

Today three intrepid Oxford computer scientists will be at #hayfestival2019 teaching kids to code at two sold out workshops. Klaudia, Bushra and Paula are all members of Oxford Women in Computer Science #OxWocs

It’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we’ve had a number of activities in our department including yoga, which are open to all. Today we’ve been practising our knitting and crochet skills over lunch.
