Have you got any boxes and packaging left over from Christmas? If you have why not have a go at junk modelling with your toddlers and older children? Here’s a few ideas to get you started but we’d love to see your creations!

I’m sure many of you noticed that your little ones had more fun with the wrapping paper and boxes than what was inside them over Christmas. Why not try making your own treasure baskets that you can explore together? Just make sure there are no small objects that could be choke hazards and always closely supervise your child while exploring.

For minor illness, please use your NHS responsibly so that we can ensure resources can be directed where they are most needed, especially as we are in the thick of winter. Your local pharmacy is always a great place to start for advice regarding minor ailments.

If you are concerned about your child's health please contact your G.P Out of Hours Service or call 111 or visit your nearest Minor Injuries Unit. No-one enjoys waiting for hours to be seen in A+E / minor injury units / GP surgeries, so if your ailment is minor, such as a cold, and you want health advice, pop to your local pharmacy instead.
