Thank you to Andrew who brought in the sponsor money from his marathon run last Sunday. We were delighted with the total of £367 which will go towards our new Stroke Centre

Helen has sent us another lovely update from her walk
'Today I passed the mark that says 100km to go to Santiago! So I am pleased with myself that already I have done over 200km!! The plan is to reach Santiago by Sunday so I would have completed it in 13 days. Yesterday the sun came out finally and I walked over 30km and really enjoyed it. The 2 days previously was raining and it was horrible and cold and windy and unfortunately we could hardly see anything for the mist!
Rig...ht now I’m in the Galicia region which reminds me of England as it’s very green and hilly and full of tiny villages with stone houses and lots of farms.
I’m having a lovely time and a wonderful experience!
Here is what I walked over the last few days: Monday: Vega de Valcarce - Fonfría (24km) Tuesday: Fonfría-Sarria (30.5km) Wednesday Sarria- Portomarín (21.5km)

As part of the fundraising campaign for our new Stroke Centre, we have to try explain to potential funders just what difference the Derbyshire Stroke Centre can make to people’s lives through attending to use the gym or just by getting support and encouragement from others who understand what living with a stroke is like.

Feedback from you is always so much more powerful than anything Debbie or I can say about our Centre.
