Hi, my name is Louise and I have recently started my own dog grooming business in Desford (Jan 2015). As Desford Dog Grooming I will be offering a range of services from a simple bath and blow dry to a full grooming and clipping experience. Nail trimming carried out on request as part of the groom and will not be charged as extra. Working from my converted garage at home you can rest assured that you are bringing your pet to a quiet and relaxed atmosphere where they will be given lots of fuss and attention as well as a good haircut!

My previous work history is predominantly office based which I have enjoyed but since getting a taste of the dog grooming life several years ago there really is no comparison! My friend who is an experienced dog groomer (25 years experience) has helped, and still is helping me massively with my new career path, I truly couldn't have done it without her. I have also attended a dog grooming course this year which has given me fantastic hands on experience with a wide variety of breeds. All in all, this is something I have been working on for approximately 5 years.

I have a large stainless steel bath and electric table which will allow me to handle the larger dog breeds.

So in summary, if you are looking for just a bath and blow dry or a full bath, clip and groom please do get in touch and give me a try.

ps. Puppy grooms are free if they are under the age of 6 months. This is a half hour appointment only for a quick bath and brush out. Full grooms are chargeable. I believe it's important to introduce puppies early so that they can get used to the sounds, smells and grooming equipment and also standing patiently for a little while! Breeds such as the cockapoo are going to require lifelong grooming so it really does help if they are introduced early.

*Please be mindful that if your dog is severely matted an extra charge will be incurred to cover my time and wear and tear of equipment. I will always discuss this with you at the time you visit.

Please note that parking is available on the outer drive on arrival.
