Welcome to Devon Wooden Boats Ltd. based at Units 1 - 2 Lapthorne Industrial Estate, Totnes Road, Ipplepen, TQ12 5TN. WE now have 3700 sqft of workshops and only 5 miles from Totnes and the river Dart. We offer a broad range of Shipwright Services from new builds to major restoration works and all aspects of general maintenance for private and commercial wooden or GRP yachts, launches and dinghies.

We also design and build our own range of dinghies including the Devon Darlin’ 11' and the easyLAUNCH range of dinghies. The dinghies feature built-in retractable launching wheels to ease launching, recovery and stowage.

Devon Wooden Boats Ltd. was founded on the old fashion principles of excellent customer service and obsessive attention to detail in every aspect of the works we carry out. Our own ranges of beautiful boats are designed to be as practical and easy to maintain as possible utilising modern technologies. Our boats feature modern hull designs and construction techniques while exuding all the beauty, glamour and spirit of traditional 1920's designs.

Practicality is achieved through innovative ideas. For example, the dinghies have built-in fully retractable launching wheels. These are positioned at the centre point of the dinghy, balanced fore and aft, making for lighter and easier launching and recovery.
