The Jean Grove Trust is a small Cambridge based charity that currently is involved in keeping 4 schools in Ethiopia up and running. Those running the charity are all volunteers and cover their own expenses, even to the cost of flights out there, so that just about all the money raised goes to the schools and their needs. For the 3th year in a row, the Devonshire Arms is hosting a benefit show for the charity, featuring as always, some fabulous local talent! Every previous year has been a riotous success, with great music all evening, an enthusiastic audience, and very generous giving. We confidently expect this year to be better than ever, and encourage you to put the date firmly in your diary, and be sure and get there early!

It's here again! The annual chilli sauce competition is back. Come down to The Devonshire Arms on Sunday 30th September for a feast of all things chilli. Bring your sauces, bring your chilli breads, chilli brownies, bring anything highly inventive and absolutely delicious as long as it has chilli in it.
You can enter as many products as you like, it's £1 per entry with all proceeds going to the Florence Nightingale Hospice. Everything must be entered by 5pm (though the earlier you submit your sauces, the longer people have to try them) when the votes will be counted and prizes awarded for Best 'Not-A-Sauce' (i.e. breads, brownies, etc), Hottest Sauce and Best Sauce.
Please note: a radiation shower, cheese and milk will be provided for those that need them. (Oh if your vegan we will have a substitute).

No frills, no tv no computer games, just great Ales and fantastic food.

Would highly recommend it.

Staff were so nice and friendly.

Probably the best pizza I ever tasted too.

We had a brilliant Sunday roast here on our last day in Cambridge, super big portions, good quality beef and very competitive pricing. And very friendly service. Really enjoyed it.

Really nice pub, very relaxed atmos, if in cambridge and you don't want a corporate drink go here.

Great Pub, great people, fantastic ale, no steps !

Good real ales from Milton brewery and great grill food and pizzas. Brown bar with a casual vibe. A pub for everyone who takes it as they find it.

Good choices of ales and beers but more important —> One of the best ribs I have eaten in a long time.

Best Sunday roast I have had in a very long time. Great beer too.

An excellent pub close to the railway station serving mainly milton beers.

Always a warm welcome (even if it's "oh no, not you lot again!"), the Dev is a wonderful melting-pot for all sorts of lovely people. Superb beer, well-deserving of it's CAMRA accolades, fantastic staff who know their stuff about beer can be rare in some places but not here. Haven't eaten here recently (not living in Cambridge) but the food is freshly made and has always been good every time we have eaten. Nice to have a "local" in another city!
