💯 agree. I had a mixture of teaching styles growing up and some of them used methods that would now be deemed unsafe (not a criticism, but the knowledge wasn’t as accessible) when I first qualified 14years ago the training and advice from dance bodies was different however over the years with CPD and delving into the huge amount of research out there on the impacts of dancing physically and mentally, my teaching methods have developed, its important to put safety first and teach students to respect and listen to the workings of their body, and use safe methods to reach their dance goals ♥️

NOTICE TO WEDNESDAY EVENING STUDENTS/PARENTS.... ~CLASSES TONIGHT ARE CANCELLED~
I have been in bed most of afternoon, I’ve dragged my self to studio, but not in a fit state to teach 3hours of dance...I’m full of cold-headache, feeling sick, coughing and spluttering (you get the point) it’s been threatening for a while and today it’s hit 🙄🤧😫...I need to have an early night to get over it quickly as I have a busy rest of the week and I’m sure you don’t want me spreading it😷!
... I’m so so sorry for any inconvenience caused, I don’t take cancelling classes lightly, I’m afraid I have nobody to cover this evening, and I just need a rest, I hope you all understand ☹️.
Hope to be back bouncing about tomorrow. If I am not classes will still be running as we have a full team of staff tomorrow 💃
