Art sessions

DianArt Drawing and Painting Classes explore in depth the language of art, through the discipline of drawing and painting, giving opportunity to experiment and learn techniques and processes that contribute to successful outcomes. Classes covering the Tynemouth area run every Tuesday afternoon 1-4 & Thursday morning 9. 30am-12 session at Cullercoats Community Centre. Classes also run every Wednesday morning /afternoon 10am-12 noon & 1pm-4pm. at St Georges parish hall Jesmond. A Twilight class is also held Wednesday 6-9pm at the city central venue of The Holy Biscuit Gallery, 1 Clarence St in Shieldfield, Newcastle (opposite The Biscuit Factory).
DianArt Drawing and Painting Classes are tailored to the individual, and are as structured or as free as required to enable each member to progress at their own pace. There is great support and camaraderie from the group and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Easels, Paper, Acrylics, Watercolours and drawing materials are provided for the sessions, and any specialist materials required by the individual would be purchased by them.
The objective of the sessions is to help build the artistic confidence of student’s, beginners and those who have gained more experience but feel they still need guidance, together with the support of like minded people, in a friendly Drawing and Painting group!
The Drawing & Painting Class costs £10 for the 2 hr sessions. £15 for the 3 hr afternoon sessions & £20 per session for the twilight sessions, booked initially in a one off 6 week block, then after the introductory period in monthly blocks.
Your tutor, Diana Kozak, has taught Drawing & Painting, Printmaking and Life Drawing for several years to all age groups, and has made art for as long as she can remember. With a B. A. Honours in Printmaking & Illustration, and a passion for Drawing & Painting and all things creative. Always looking for fresh approaches to subject matter, with a strong knowledge of Art History, which she dips into to advise and guide her students, putting them in the picture regarding artists, art movements, and influencing styles, facilitating opportunities for class members to reach their highest potential.
