Dick Lovett Mini Description

The Dick Lovett Group started in 1959 as a two-man operation called Ross Motors selling motorcycles in Leicester. Dick Lovett, supported by his wife Stella, had a passion for sports cars which he would buy and sell to other enthusiasts. They lived above their business and would be on hand to cater for enquiries from all over the British Isles.

When Dick relocated the business to the South-West and started trading under his own name from the family home in Wroughton (near Swindon) in 1966, we were selling cars such as Lamborghini Miura’s, Ferrari 250 SWB’s and other such specialist cars that are now proving to be such strong investments.

The desire to be the best in the industry and supply fine quality automobiles still remains the cornerstone of our business today. Dick Lovett is proud to be official franchise holders for Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Lotus, BMW and MINI stretching the length of the M4 corridor from Hungerford to Cardiff. We also have our own dedicated Bodyshop in Swindon called Dick Lovett Spraymaster that specialises in prestige vehicle repair and restoration. With nearly 450 staff, we have come a very long way but still retain the original ethos of being a family run business.

What an amazing garage!

Today myself, Mum and dad picked up our new thunder grey Cooper s from Julie Flood.

She delivered amazing, friendly, helpful and professional customer service throughout the whole experience of purchasing the car. To top it off, Julie had prepared a wondered bouquet of flowers for Mum which was the icing on the cake as it was just a very nice thing to do. 10/10 garage as well as 11/10 service provided by Julie.

We dropped our car in for a service at the cribs causeway dealership and were made very welcome. The politeness of the lady that did the paper work was great as was the driver of the mini bus who dropped us at the mall.

Took my mini in for an MOT last week, really impressed by the level of service - Sarah looked after me, was knowledgeable about my car and very efficient. Was able to do some work while I waited with free WiFi and they cleaned the car after it's check. Had to take it in for some work today, similarly impressed with the care and attention from Sarah again. They gave me a lift into work (in a rather lovely BMW) now just waiting for the call to go and collect - after another clean.

Thank you so much for going out of your way to fix the smashed window of my mini and making sure I could pick it up outside working hours. It was even cleaned top to bottom, so much better than the state I dropped it off in!

Recently made an approved used purchase from MINI Dick Lovett in Bristol and I have to say it was for me the best car purchase I have ever had.

I felt that Ross from the initial email contact, personal car video to finally meeting in person was very professional.

I wasn’t patronised / pressured or rushed in any way and felt very valued as a customer completely through the whole MINI car buying process.

The handover was top drawer also with no questions left un-answered and everything on the car explained.

Everything for me was absolutely fantastic and felt very relaxed and pleased that I bought a car from MINI Dick Lovett.

Just part exchanged a Fiesta ST for a JCW Roadster dealing with Shaun Edwards. Very happy with deal and level of professionalism throughout. Allowed a proper Test Drive and car had plenty of fuel upon handover and impeccably prepared, and ready a day early! I will be returning for my free valets. Hi mini, I need help a.s.a.p! I am on a 4 year finance with mini but I only took the contract out this January 2016! I am not in no arrears but I really can't afford the car as its to much for me each month. I'm struggling a lot and I really can't go on paying £238.98 a month. If mini can lower my finance each month it would b a little help but I don't know wot else to do it's upsetting me.

First service for my 2016 Cooper S yesterday at the Bath Mini branch on Lower Bristol Road - couldn’t fault the work done or the friendliness of front of house service from Reception through to the Service Desk itself. Well done and thank you.

Cannot speak highly enough of the excellent service we received at your Bath branch - special thanks to both Luke and Philly - daughter’s new mini sat on the forecourt with huge red bow on the bonnet and as if that wasn’t enough, she was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, we were all given a ‘mini’ gift, and she was waved off with full tank of petrol. PS she is absolutely loving the car!

Received a call telling me my mini required a brake service - booked in for the following day and was told it was covered by the TLC pack.



Arrived at Hungerford mini the following day - they weren’t expecting me, and then I was told the service wasn’t covered by my TLC. No apology and off I went without having my service.

What an incompetent bunch of liars! You need to learn the art of setting customer expectations, not covering your backs due to your own problems! Took 6 days to even look at it...Never going back, especially for workshop or repairs... Would never recommend the same painful experience to any other poor sod! And when Matt Bailey says he'll call you back, he won't, you'll be chasing him. Sad, love my Mini not the dick Lovett experience!

Terrible service. 3 month old car developed problem with the steering - steering wheel judder, clicks when you move it and veers to the left. Service guys completely dismissive and didn’t listen to the description of the issue and decided to do the tracking multiple times even when there was nothing wrong with it - front left tyre significantly more worn than the right. Had to go back and demonstrate it to them multiple times. They "fixed” it, however the car still veers to the left and supposedly that is normal even though the 3 courtesy cars didn’t do it and on the last test drive I could still demonstrate the steering problem. The Service Manager stated that "they didn’t know what to do next" and called in the regional technical manager, who stated that it was "as designed". Anybody else's car veer to the left and is this normal?

My car failed it's MOT at another garage, so I took it to main dealer for repairs, as am looking to sell and wanted it to be fixed with BMW parts. Dropped it off in the morning, clearly stating the problem, CO2 emissions failure... having had my car from 7.45am and 3 phone calls later, at 3pm no work had been carried out on my car. At 3.30pm I received a phone call to say my car had failed it's MOT on CO2 emissions, AS I HAD CLEARLY TOLD THEM 3 TIMES!!! They then said they would bring me courtesy car and chocolates for the inconvenience, when he finally turned up with the car at 5pm, without chocolates. He then decided to patronise me by saying "we just thought you didn't understand what an MOT was." As a young female, I feel this is blatant sexism and would not of happened had my partner taken it in. When ringing to speak to the manager, to voice my disappointment with their service, I was told "it wasn't like his staff," insinuating I was lying. I feel both offended and let down by this service, especially with the price I am paying.

Just bought a new Mini from Dick Lovett Bristol was told nothing but a pack of lies from the moment we walked in the showroom. Ordered a limited edition from the factory was told the next day there were none left but the showroom one was available. Lies there were plenty left. Was told they would put parking sensors on free of charge for the inconvenience but no we paid for them. Lots of other lies, too many to put on here and when I picked the car up parcel shelf was missing, car mats were missing so had the car even been PDI checked!! I love my Mini but would never set foot in there again

If I could give a no star reading I would - very - infact extremely poor customer service today - so disappointing - should anyone want feedback then please Facebook me - even to the point when on a return call regarding my complaint got my name wrong - we have a mini service plan liinked to our vehicle ??? Really .....

I am writing to you as my last attempt for some sort of resolve before I take this further.



I have been a loyal customer of Mini ever since my first car back in 2011. I have been going to the Dick Lovett Dealership in Bristol Cribbs Causeway for all my car needs.



Back in February this year I traded my old Mini One in for a Mini Cooper. It was a big financial jump but I trusted what I was being told by the salesman and that my new car fine and perfect. Why wouldn’t it be I had just bought it from a dealership? Right? Wrong!



This was in fact a lie. Two weeks after have the car, my windscreen cracked- when I called Mini I was told they knew about the large crack that had been repaired on my windscreen but had failed to tell me that there was a repair on my new car before I had bought it. This would have put me off that particular car.



Today is the 30th of December and since I bought it in February 2014 and I have taken my car in to the Mini Garage 10 times now! There has been a ‘squeaking’ noise coming from the car and I have taken the car in about 6 times concerning this and even leaving it there for over a week. Has the squeaking gone? No.



The squeaking noise issue was soon overridden as I now have several problems with my engine and juddering of the car.



The first time I took it in I was told it was because I had not changed the oil- this excuse is pathetic. Once again, I trusted the mechanic.



However, 2 weeks later my engine light came on again- I was told- ‘we have tested it and nothing in wrong.’



On it came again- at this point the pure stress of having brought my car in so many times led me to break down in the Mini dealership in tears.



Here we are a week later- and the engine light is on again. I have to bring it into the dealership on Monday.



I have been nothing but lied to and ignored and I feel betrayed. I saved up a lot of money to buy this car and I feel crushed that it has come to this. There is no way I can afford to keep bringing it into the garage every month because of these issues. I would not recommend anyone buy a car from this dealership.



I have called several times asking to speak to someone regarding my options and I have had no calls back. Nothing.

Disappointed will with Mini's aftercare. Poor communication and unhelpful. I will not recommend people to take out any additional services/product (especially tyre insurance), Policy is not clear. Took dealer couple of days to find a puncture on my runflat and left me without a car and taking time off work for nothing. Eventually, they found the leak (I think) and they have repaired it, which I am not happy about because the amount of times the tyre has been run flat. and in the end they have just plugged and sealed it. This concerns me in many levels, insurance wise/ compromise to the structural compound of the tyre/ and biggest of all SAFETY. Is this tyre still safe to speed rating 'V'? I will probably have to end up buying a new tyre in my expense hence why tyre insurance with mini is unless. Had no apology from the dealer regarding why it took them 3 days to fix problem. I've expressed to them how unhappy I am. All Mini cares is about themselves and what is the minimum they can do. If there is an option for 0 star rating that is my choice.
