It is with great sadness we have to share with you that Janet Martin passed away Saturday November 10th at St Wilfrid’s hospice after a short battle. The funeral will take place at Eastbourne Crematorium, Friday November 30th 12.15 pm in the Main chapel. All are welcome. We would ask for family flowers only and donations if you wish to St. Wilfrid’s Hospice c/o Haine & Son Funeral Directors, 19 South Street, Eastbourne. East Sussex. BN21 4UJ.

Dickens Tea Cottage wish all our customers a Happy Easter 🐣 We are open Good Friday and Saturday with our usual menu plus our limited edition home-made Hot Cross Buns & Simnel cake while stock lasts 🙂. Easter Sunday we are open serving a traditional Roast Turkey dinner with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and trimmings. A Vegetarian option is available by prior arrangement. February has started , Spring is drawing nearer 💐. Here at Dickens we are approaching Sunday roasts. This Sunday we have a choice of slow cooked, delicious roast beef, hand carved by John or roast chicken . Both served with crispy roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, homemade stuffing with chicken option and seasonal vegetables £9.50. Vegetarian option is available by prior arrangement. Beautifully decorated. I had this very tasteful omelete and was attended by a kindest lady. A place not to be missed when in Eastbourne.

Beautiful little cottage with lots of Dickens related items to keep your eyes busy. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Food is all freshly cooked, home made and delicious! Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again.

A warm welcome with traditional food at a very good price. Will recommend to friends

Only had tea and scone but the service was very good and the scone was excellent..very much an old curiosity shop with plenty to talk about. Only negative it can be a bit cramped at busy times but that can also be part of its charm
