Wir sind eine von drei evangelischen Gemeinden, die in London und Umgebung deutschsprachige Gottesdienste feiern und zum Miterleben evangelischer Gemeinde einladen.
Im Rahmen unserer Gemeindearbeit werden in der Gemeinde Kinder getauft, Brautleute getraut und Verstorbene bestattet. Außerdem versuchen wir – soweit möglich – einen Besuchsdienst zu koordinieren.
Wir gehören mit den anderen deutschen evangelischen Gemeinden zur Evangelischen Synode deutscher Sprache in Großbritannien. Als solche sind wir eingebunden in die ökumenische Gemeinschaft der Christen in Großbritannien: Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.

Advent heißt Warten Nein, die Wahrheit ist Dass der Advent nur laut und schrill ist... Ich glaube nicht Dass ich in diesen Wochen zur Ruhe kommen kann Dass ich den Weg nach innen finde Dass ich mich ausrichten kann auf das, was kommt Es ist doch so Dass die Zeit rast Ich weigere mich zu glauben Dass etwas Größeres in meine Welt hineinscheint Dass ich mit anderen Augen sehen kann Es ist doch ganz klar Dass Gott fehlt Ich kann unmöglich glauben Nichts wird sich verändern Es wäre gelogen, würde ich sagen: Gott kommt auf die Erde!

Thank you to all who attended the wreath binding sessions yesterday and tonight. It was such fun. We produced approx 45 wreaths for sale for Saturday’s Basar, aside from the wreaths that went home early with people. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow for fellowship, food, music and of course Christmas wreaths. 🎄 🎶 🍰 ☕️

All Christmas events at a glance. We will have musical interludes from the Bonhoeffer Recorders at our Basar on the 1st December- a taste of what’s to come at their annual Christmas concert on the 15th December. Plus carol singing and Nikolaus visit on the 9th December, and Nativity play and service on the 24th.

Free wreath binding course. Learn how to bind green wreaths and decorate them. On Thursday we will focus on binding the green wreaths, on Friday we will focus on decorating. But both tasks can be done on the same evening. Please note this course is free provided you produce at least three wreaths, one of which you can purchase for yourself on the night. Lots of fun, all materials, tea and biscuits will be included. Please book by emailing eventsDBK@gmail.com

Kleine Andacht, gemütliches Beisammensein mit Glühwein, Gebäck und Würstchen, musikalische Umrahmung mit den Bonhoeffer Recorders, Adventskränze und andere Kleinigkeiten zu erstehen. Alle sind herzlich eingeladen. Be invited to mulled wine, cake and sausages, musical programme with the Bonhoeffer Recorders, Advent wreaths and other small things for purchase. All welcome.
Andacht und anschließender Laternenlauf in Mayow Park, dann (je nach Wetter) Lagerfeuer, heiße Getränke und warme Bretzeln an der Kirche.

Nearly New Children's and Baby Sale in the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer Church (50 Dacres Road, SE23 2NR) will take place on Saturday 13th October 2018, from 2 - 5pm. Free entry for all buyers! Please note that we will stay open until 5pm again to give you a bit more time to browse through all items and chill out in our café. As in previous years there will be cakes, salads and German sausages for sale in the cafe.
