Dilly Dilly

Been working on this special order for a while now. Today I can share it with you as the beautiful Bride got married yesterday and now I can't spoil the surprise. I was asked to make 2 precious bridesmaid dresses in 100% mustard linen for 2 beautiful little girls. The order included the dresses with pin tucks and lace, Liberty print bow brooches, Liberty knickers/nappy covers, net petticoats to be worn underneath and a matching ring pillow. I have to admit some of the order was a challenge to me. I have never made petticoats before but I like to rise to challenges and really happy how everything turned out. I can't wait to see the professional photos of the girls in their outfits 💛

Hello lovely people it's been months and months since I've posted anything here on my Dilly Dilly page and I have definitely been missing in action. I've been incredibly busy as I started a new job last October teaching hand sewing for a charity called Workers Education Association. But I'm now back! I have been sewing a few orders behind the scenes and later this year I'm hoping to offer workshops and private lessons from my home. Whilst still sewing the odd orders too. I'm currently just finishing off writing a workshop for 50 ladies (by biggest class yet) for next Tuesday evening, its now fully booked but looking forward to meeting lots of newbie sewers. Will be posting lots more here now. So do keep popping back to see what I'm up too........

Haven't been on my Facebook page for a while but lots been happening behind the scenes. I'm at Bluebirds Handmade Market tomorrow on the sea front at the Assembly Rooms in Great Yarmouth from 11-4. If you are local why not pop in, over 40 beautiful craft stalls to see. I'll be there with all my pretty things including birthday rosettes, girls clothes, eco reusable sandwich wraps, baby bonnets and pom pom fairies to name just a few.

Lots of new products for the Bluebirds Handmade Craft Fair on 1st July. To start with these pretty initial hanging hearts, also cut out birthday rosettes and eco sandwich wraps this afternoon. Will be posting more photos soon x

Been busy the last few weeks decorating my lounge. Haven't done much sewing, I have however decided to get back into drawing (my New Years resolution to myself) then translating my drawings into stitch. I've been thinking of my love of nature and using that as a starting point. Also running up a very quick fancy dress for daughter #2 for Monday's Roald Dahl Day at school.

Look at one of my customer's darling daughter. She looks wonderful in her festive dress and bag and her tunic top. Mummies done a grand job of styling her with red cardigan and hat. So cute 😍 I had big plans for this year, so far I've managed to get the Christmas tree and decs down. It was a hard task as I've have been struck down with a cold virus so don't feel like doing much at all.

Had a great time last night at my daughter's schools Christmas Shopping evening. I wish I had had a bigger table and more of certain stock but I had a great time and really grateful to everyone who made a purchase from my stall, it was a great success ❤
