We are overwhelmed with gluten free products we are going to have start binning them as we need the freezer space. We have Sainsbury's baguettes and loaves, sliced Genius, Juvela and Schar. Some cakes and some rolls. Pancakes and Crumpets too. Please share to anyone who has coeliac disease or a gluten intolerance as its so expensive it would be a shame to waste it ! You do not have to be a member to access this. Thank you.
Anyone free for collections today please? We need 5.30 to 6 and 8.30 to 9pm in Bedford .
We are urgently looking for people to join our collections team please ! We need people who can collect within Bedford on a Monday, Tuesday and / or Wednesdays between 8.30 and 9pm and take to the Reuse Centre in town for 9.20 to 9.30. Typically this would be Tescos Riverfield, Cardington or Metro! Thank you
Happy New Year to all of our supporters from 2018. As we move in to 2019 we need as much help as possible to be able to continue. Here's to that!πΎπ₯π

Huge thanks in general to those that choose to support us with donations such as food and clothes. We dont have any corporation backing us nor any funding streams coming in, so its always heart warming to receive support, when we are not always the obvious ones people think of.
Needed asap please. We are currently looking for donations of Milton Sterilising Fluid (or equivalent), size large gloves (best ones are Β£2.99 in Bodycare) and good quality kitchen paper towel or rolls of blue roll. Thank you π€π€π€π€
As Dani has no car we need people to step up and help please with food pick ups. That starts tonight with 2 easy pick ups anytime between 8.15 and 9pm please, in Bedford.
Thank you so much to all the people who have pledged to make up a reverse advent calendar box. We have 56 pledged so far but would love to get to 80 (preferably with a few for our larder families) so if you haven't signed up yet please do message us! If you have signed up keep a close eye on the page for updates and info. Thanks!
ππ Please support our Christmas campaign! We are asking for people to do a reverse advent calendar this year, in November so that they are ready in time for December, as the Christmas presents, which we hand out at our Christmas meal (22nd). We are hoping to get enough interest to hand out the 80 for our Christmas meal and then some to the Larder families too. If you'd like to pledge a calendar, please message us and let us know so that we can keep a tally of how many have been pledged. We can also help you with a box to get you started too! If you can't think of an item one day, please feel free to throw a pound in instead and we will happily buy an item to add to the box. Any further questions, just give us a shout. Thank you and please share to raise awareness ππ
Anyone able to do a collection from Flitwick this evening about 8.45 and bring to Bedford please OR able to collect it first thing in the morning and bring to Bedford?
The Larder is completely empty of fresh fruit and vegetables and the holidays are notably busier with hungry children coming. Would anyone be able to buy carrots, onions or bananas please so we have the bare minimum to offer tomorrow to the 70 families we will have in. Alternatively could you pledge any money so we could go and buy the stuff ourselves please? Any and All food donations gratefully accepted. Thank you, please share.
For everyone who signed the petition about Universal Credit, thank you. We woud love more signatures so please pop in on Thursday or Friday to the Reuse Centre on Gadsby Street and sign. Thank you https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-45870553

So this happened and we are stupidly proud !!!! We've all worked our butts off, argued and been worn out with the hard slog that Bedford Community Larder is, but all the nagging and hard work has paid off. Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped make this happen, especially to volunteers who work for free! It is very much appreciated by us.
Fruit and veg is cancelled on Saturday due to lack of stock and lack of volunteers. First time ever π. The larder is the same, very empty sadly. We will have over 60 families come tomorrow and not much fruit and veg at all. Is anyone about for any collections tonight if they come in please ? Usually between 8.30 and 9. Thank you !
Thank you so much to Tesco who have had a power cut and thought of us for the food they would otherwise have had to bin. Some of it will be used for the Larder tomorrow and Pippa and Sean took a lot of sandwiches, fruit pots and salads straight down to the homeless. Thank you Sean, Pippa, Isabelle, Ann Marie, Luke and Hugo for taking a couple of hours to help us unload the 4 car loads and bag, fridge and freezer it all! Thank you to the 2 Tesco ladies who did the 2 trips to Tesco and back for it all ! Saving waste and feeding hungry families πͺπͺπͺπͺ
