Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
My client is seeking an experienced QHSE manager to join their organisation. As designers and manufacturers of highly-engineered specialty metal components and assemblies for the aerospace, petrochemical, nuclear, energy, steel and defence industries, the company directors have long-standing experience in metal manufacture, fabrication and welding and have created a responsive, quality conscious fabrication company to supply ...the Petrochemical, Oil, Gas, Water, Pharmaceutical and Nuclear Industries.
The team have extensive experience in the fabrication and welding of heat resistant and corrosion resistant steels and alloys and specialise in high temperature and high pressure furnace tubes and components. Supplying products to major clients there is strict adherence to quality manufacture and specifications. The company is ISO 9001:2000 approved and routinely applies the full parameters of established quality control procedures and specifications such as ASME VIII, ASME IX, ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3.
The management and staff place great importance on controlling and maintaining the health, safety and welfare of their employees and others who may be affected by the company’s activities. Full Health and Safety policies and provisions are in place and regularly monitored which is where the role of QHSE manager comes in.
The successful QHSE Manager’s duties include: - · Management of ISO certified Management Systems – (ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, ISO 3834-2) · Advise senior management on QHSE issues, legal requirements & improvements · Advise senior management on & monitor Occupational Health requirements / issues · Setting & Monitoring of QHSE targets, KPI`s and improvements · Incident / Accident investigation and actions · Carry out HS risk assessments & COSHH risk assessments · Carry out workplace inspection and internal audits · Management of non-conformance & review · External supply chain audits where required · Promote QHSE awareness within the company · Carry out new employee QHSE induction · Review Sub-Contractor Safety operating procedures, method statements & risk assessments · Advise on HSE training requirements · Completion of HSE information on Client PQQ · Client/Third part audits · Maintain Calibration Register · Supplier reviews & approved supplier register · Contract & Post Contract Review · Competent in word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook · Background or experience within nuclear is essential
37.5 hours covering core business hours Monday to Friday
