Disability Huntingdonshire Description

Disability Huntingdonshire (known also as DISH) is a charitable organisation that has worked with people with disabilities in our locality for over 23 years. Our mission is is to enable individuals with disabilities to achieve independent living, through disseminating advice and information and providing advocacy. We are funded by grants from (among others) Huntingdon District Council, the MS Society and South Cambridgeshire District Council. We provide information, advice and advocacy to people on a range of subjects, including access to benefits or resources and, where children are involved, on appropriate educational provision.

Our caseworkers are willing to make home visits where it is hard for a client to travel to our office. We offer face to face, telephone and e-mail advice. Where we cannot perform tasks directly, we can signpost people to appropriate information, or to the appropriate agency.

Our services are free, independent and impartial. We work from our offices at Pendrill Court, Papworth Everard and we are available on Monday to Friday from 9-30 to 2-30, we can take telephone consultations on 01480 748 168 or 0330 3553 256, e-mails on info@dish.org. uk and where necessary, we can make home visits.
