About Disabled Global Challenge

Campaigning For Disabled People with physical and mental health. Disabled Global Challenge is the creation of our founder Jasmine Palmer. She found herself disabled ultimately after a terrible industrial injury on the Rail Tracks. after life-changing injuries, was forced to retire from business and after a long period of time spent in and out of the hospital was left a wheelchair user with some mental health problems. jasmine was diagnosed with depression and more recently while having a medical Fibromyalgia. after experiencing herself how difficult, day to day tasks are, taken for granted by able-bodied people she wanted to bring about change, to highlight how hard life is and that the world needs to be a more inclusive place. DGC aim is to campaign to bring about change in the minds of able-bodied people and legislation to make the world a more inclusive place for everybody, to enable disabled people to be able to work alongside able-bodied people and to be able to socialise without and social stigmatism or restrictions due to buildings or infrastructure not accommodating for basic needs like toilet or wheelchair access, even as simple as getting stores to make the aisles wider so a wheelchair user can access. in the Uk alone there are over 12. 5 Million people registered disabled that's 20% of the population. We are not talking about small numbers. we also genuinely believe that this is a market sector that is been ignored for too long and needs commerce to start and take seriously. to springboard, the launch of Disabled Global Challenge Jasmine intends to be the first disabled female to sail single-handed around the world departing October 2019 please get on board with her with your support to make DGC a driving force for change.
