Discover Bushcraft is a great new way to have a party. We come to you and set up a day camp in your garden (most gardens are suitable*); then the bushcraft party can begin! A typical Discover Bushcraft party can include:
• Fire lighting
• Knifework (for aged 10 + )
• Shelter building
• Marshmallows and dampers
• Survival skills / nature based team games and challenges
Discover Bushcraft will hold parties whatever the weather (unless its too dangerous! ) – our day camp set up will provide enough shelter for all of the activities. In fact some of the best bushcraft experiences can be had when the weather is a little inclement!
You’d never know we had been and built shelters or cooked on a campfire as we practise LEAVE NO TRACE
• if you don’t have a garden or would prefer to go somewhere else we do have access to alternative locations, though these will incur a small additional fee.
Bushcraft is all about the skills and knowledge required to survive and thrive in the natural world without the use of modern tools and technology. Bushcraft skills include: firecraft, tracking, hunting, fishing, shelter building, the use of tools such as knives and axes, foraging, handcarving, container construction from natural materials and rope and twine making. Discover Bushcraft can introduce you to many of these elements of bushcraft.

Had to clear a big patch of sage this weekend, I decided to harvest it all and hang it to dry to make smudge sticks. Also picked all my dried lavender heads - they make lovely fragrant tinder bundles and smudge sticks too. Particularly liked making tinder bundles from lovely dried sage stems.
I have worked regularly with the Wilderness Foundation for over 8 years, delivering bushcraft and outdoor activities to different groups.
