Ditto Fabrics

In 1980 an innovative children's wear shop called Nipper opened in the North Laine area of Brighton by two designers Bernie and Julia who met at The Kingston College of Art fashion department. Both Bernie and Julia enjoyed successful careers in womenswear. When Bernie had her first son Max her thoughts turned to children's clothes and how they could be improved and made to be fun and functional. A chance meeting with Julia in a cake shop resulted in them deciding to work toge...ther, and what followed were 2 shops, one in Brighton, one in Windsor and a ground breaking mail order business. Bernie has now decided to offer savvy sewers the opportunity to make some of the classic designs including the iconic baby baggy. This capsule collection of digital patterns for babies and toddlers from 0-3 years is at the moment in development. Watch this space.....
