Diversity Reform Initiative

WHAT DO WE DO?We unite volunteers, professionals, academics and organisations in the fight against inequality, disadvantage and racism in society. We bring together this cohort to effectively come to an experienced, informative and evidence based solution to tackle these problems within key institutions. WHO ARE WE?We are a team of passionate and driven young people who have experienced the very inequalities, disadvantage and racism, within the institutions in which we aim to reform. OUR CURRENT PROJECTRacial inequalities have been embedded in British society for centuries and this has impacted the black community disproportionately. We understand that one of the key problems in the UK is the miseducation and poor socialisation of its members in regards to  racism.  We have stemmed this back to the ineffective racial socialiation within the education system. Therefore, we are fighting against the racial disadvantage, miseducation and disparity within the education system. We have brought together the necessary cohort needed to address the current problems which have evidently kept the black community disadvantaged in society. These changes will improve the conditions within the education system for black students by educating white students in a way that combats racial bias. These changes will also empower the sense of belongingness and identity within black students whilst also supporting them in areas they are disadvantaged. It is important to note this initiative powers the sense of DIVERSITY and RACIAL EQUALITY, thus benefiting all members of society. We believe racism is a plague and that these changes will improve the conditions in society for future generations.
