A 1-2 in Northern Ireland! Well done to Derek McGarrity who led from start to finish to win at Bishopscourt in his Fiesta WRC. Second was DMG team-mate Mark Massey in a Fiesta R5, both used DMACK DMT-RC22 XS6, S6+ and the wet pattern WXS because of the mixed conditions.

Great to see the 2003 Junior WRC champion Brice Tirabassi sign up to the 2019 French Gravel Rally championship this year, he will drive a Hyundai i20 R5 on DMACK gravel tyres in a partnership with our French dealer Allopneus.
Brice Tirabassi: "I was already very happy to be back in the competition last year, but I can not wait to take advantage of all that we learned to play the leading roles this year. On a personal level, I am extremely motivated and am confident that last year's lessons and the DMACK experience will work in our favour. I am aware that the level will be extremely high with more than fifteen R5 that can aim for victory and the podium each weekend, but I'm ready to go back to the fight."

Our new DMT-F Classic tyres have been put through their paces on the Ronca stage in Italy by Paolo Nodari and his pair of BMW M3s. Great feedback with the FH (hard) and FM (medium) working really well on the abrasive asphalt.

DMACK Celebrates Eight Years With FIA CODASUR Championship
DMACK is celebrating its eighth year as tyre partner to the FIA CODASUR South American Rally Championship, one of the most diverse regional championships around.
Since 2012, DMACK has been providing competitors with premium gravel tyres to tackle the wide range of conditions – from rocky gravel roads to clay and mud – delivering both winning-performance and puncture resistance.
... This year’s championship starts with the Rally de la Tierra Colorada 2019 in Argentina on 1 March before heading to Paraguay, Brazil, Bolivia and Uruguay. The events are supported by DMACK’s extensive network of dealers in the region, providing fitting and technical support to teams.
With events taking place across the entire continent, South American drivers have excelled with DMACK’s well-proven gravel tyres. Designed using technology lifted from its WRC participation, DMACK continues to deliver a solid product which performs across all car classes – including R5, GpN, Maxi and R2 – and on all road conditions.
The competition is set to be even more intense this year with a mix of new-generation R5 cars being used.
Dick Cormack, DMACK managing director, said: “South America is one of the strongest markets for DMACK and our gravel tyres have an impressive motorsport heritage on the FIA CODASUR South American Rally Championship events. We are proud to continue this strong relationship since 2012 and looking forward to supplying our key products to this exciting and challenging FIA championship.”
Andrés Dupont, President CODASUR Rally Commission, said: “We are pleased that DMACK is continuing as tyre partner to the FIA CODASUR South American Rally Championship for the eighth successive year. The championship attracts a high calibre of competitors from the region and DMACK products perform well across our wide range of events to ensure some spectacular competition.”

Great to see another young driver we supported making it to the top. In 2014, Teemu Suninen won WRC3 on his first WRC event at Neste Rally Finland, first time in the car and first rally on DMACK. He was an obvious recommendation to his current employer M-Sport !! bit.ly/2GTXCI8

More DMACK winners on the BTRDA Cambrian Rally in the UK last weekend. Paddy Naylor won GpN and was 4th overall in a Evo while Perry Gardener was fastest R2 and won the R2 Cup in his Fiesta. Both used DMG+22 in soft GS82 compound proving our tyres perform across all classes.

DMACK Crew Runner-Up In Competitive Italian Championship
The DMACK-supported crew of Umberto Scandola and Guido d’Amore secured a stunning second overall in the 2018 Italian Rally Championship after the final round of the series at Rally Due Valli last weekend.
The result marked an impressive debut for British brand DMACK, fighting off competition from four other major tyre manufacturers as it competed in Italy for the first time.
... Driving a Skoda Italy-backed Fabia R5 run by S.A. Motorsport, Scandola had a season of strong results on the mainly-Tarmac based championship. Three podium finishes, including a dominant victory on the penultimate event at Rally Adriatico, saw him come to the final round with a half point championship lead.
The battle last weekend on the Verona-based Due Valli was intense and, despite being slowed by a small mechanical problem, Scandola collected enough points to secure runner-up position in the championship.
The result capped-off a strong debut for DMACK, once again demonstrating that its asphalt products, led by the DMT-RC22 tyre, are capable of challenging for overall honours on one of the most competitive series in Europe, against tyre manufacturers with much more experience of the events and conditions.
The Italian market is a key one for DMACK with the appointment of a new dealer, Monza Gomme, earlier this year helping to strengthen sales and technical support to customers at all levels.
Dick Cormack, DMACK managing director, said: “Umberto and the team have delivered a very strong season full of excellent results in Italy. The championship is one of the most competitive and closely-fought but DMACK has once again delivered against Pirelli, Michelin, Yokohama and Hankook. Both our gravel and Tarmac products continue to demonstrate the performance required to battle for and win key national and regional championships.”
Umberto Scandola said: “It was another exciting season with a big challenge between drivers and manufacturer teams. This year our team, the Skoda Fabia R5 and DMACK tyres have allowed us to win a race and finish three times on the podium, and always be competitive in the very different race conditions. We tried so hard for the championship but second is a result I’m very happy with. We have all achieved so much this year against competitors with much more experience of this championship.”

DMACK Driver Patrik Sandell Victorious at Rain-Soaked Tour de Forest Rally
Subaru Rally Team USA driver Patrik Sandell and co-driver Per Alkmvist made it three wins from three starts in the 2018 American Rally Association (ARA) championship with a faultless drive at the season-ending Tour de Forest Rally. Sandell endured a strong challenge from Subaru teammates - and newly crowned 2018 ARA Champions - David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew. With both teams piloting identical 2018 Subaru WRX STI rally cars equipped with DMACK gravel tyres, Higgins established a slim lead over Sandell early in the rally before being slowed by a mechanical issue which all but sealed Sandell’s path to victory on the treacherously slippery stages of western Washington.

Looking back to a very successful Wales Rally GB over the weekend.
Tom Cave (Hyundai R5) set a string of top times in the R5 class, including four stage wins beating WRC2 winner Kalle Rovanpera.
David Bogie (Skoda R5) won the penultimate round of the British Rally Championship and both he and Tom were consistently in the top-five of the R5 cars, ahead of many of the 'factory' WRC2 drivers.
... In the National Rally, Sam Bilham (Fiesta R2) put in a sensational drive to finish ninth overall, first in class and first two-wheel-drive car.
They all used DMACK's DMG+22 gravel tyre which helped Elfyn Evans take his first WRC victory last year.

Our home WRC event, Wales Rally GB, starts tomorrow and it has been a rally full of historic moments for DMACK. In 2011 Ott Tanak was the first driver to score WRC points using DMACK tyres and in 2014 it was DMACK's 50th WRC event. Then of course last year Elfyn Evans took his and DMACK's debut WRC victory, breaking Michelin's run of 92 consecutive world rally wins!

DMACK Retains Historic Rally Winning Package For GB
DMACK returns to Wales Rally GB, scene of its first-ever FIA World Rally Championship victory, with the same package of gravel tyres which has dominated its home round of the series for the past few years.
Elfyn Evans blitzed the opposition last year to take his maiden WRC win and help the M-Sport World Rally Team seal the manufacturer championship. And DMACK has nominated exactly the same tyres which gave the Welshman the e...dge in 2017.
DMACK’s soft compound has excelled on UK stages, helping it win multiple British Rally Championships and delivering leading performance and traction on damp and cool surfaces. While there are no competitors in top-level WRC cars this year, DMACK is supplying a number of leading British stars including David Bogie, who is challenging for the British title, and local driver Tom Cave.
2017 Performance Elfyn Evans used the advantage of DMACK’s soft compound tyre and more open DMG+22 tread pattern to dominate last year’s event. He led from the second stage to seal his and DMACK’s first-ever WRC win.
The result saw DMACK break Michelin’s dominance of 92 consecutive WRC victories as it took the top step of the podium on its home event.
Tyre Overview DMACK’s soft ‘level 6’ compound has excelled over the past few years at Rally GB. Ott Tanak took 12 stage wins and finished second overall in 2016 while Evans took eight wins on his way to the top step of the podium last year. That same compound, called GS64 this year, is nominated as the main option for all competitors.
The rally-winning DMG+22 pattern tyre is also selected for both R5/WRC 2 and also for WRC cars after DMACK recently used its joker to replace the DMG+2 pattern. The tyre has the same run-flat construction as used by Evans in 2017.
Nominated Tyres List 1 for R5 and WRC 2 DMACK 205/65R15 DMG+22, GS64 soft (26) and GH44 hard (16) Maximum allowed: 26
List 2 for WRC DMACK 205/65R15 DMG+22, GS64 soft (28) and GH44 hard (16) Maximum allowed: 28
Event Information Based: Deeside, Wales Start: Conway, 18:57 on Thursday 4 October Finish: Llandudno, 12:30 on Sunday 7 October Stages: 22 stages, 318.34km Longest stage: SS3/8 Brenig 29.13km
Dick Cormack, DMACK managing director, said: “The result last year was fantastic for us and a very proud moment to celebrate on our home event. It’s a shame we haven’t any top-level WRC cars this year but we have a strong list of customers across all levels and categories. Rally GB has been our strongest event in the WRC calendar for many years and we’ve demonstrated time and again that our products are perfectly suited to the challenging conditions.”

Congratulations to Umberto Scandola and Guido D'Amore who helped DMACK win its first-ever round of the Italian Championship at the weekend. They took victory on Rally Adriatico by 12.3s after winning five stages and now move into the overall lead of the 2018 Italian Rally Championship with just one round to go! Fingers crossed for the last event Due Valli next month.
