Audiophile Tunes!
One benefit of owning a hi-fi shop is the ability to listen to some great music through a fantastic system. All in the name of ‘work’.
This also allows us to debate which pieces of music sound the best through a high-end system.
... So, trying to put opinion to one side, we have come up with a list of pieces of twenty pieces of music that we think sound amazing in our listening rooms. We’ve also tried to arrange these in an order that should work as a playlist.
This isn’t a list of our favourite music…that would be a bit dull. Neither did we want to come up with a list of classics that would encourage immediate agreement.
The most important consideration was the sonic make-up of the pieces. Whether that be subtlety and silence or bombast and bass, we have tried to come up with a variety of tunes that will extend your system to its limits, right across the frequency range.
It would be great to find out what you think of these…and for you to send your suggestions for us to try out.

Just a word on Mark Hollis, who died last week. Anti establishment, perfectionist, musical genius. Talktalk's 'Laughing Stock' is an amazing album, but it was Spirit of Eden tonight. An album I only dip into every five years or so, so that the moment and the music combine. Production perfection.

DNA Audio Classical Music Presentation, January 26th 2019
We’re proud to announce that on Saturday 26 January, between 2pm and 4.30pm, we will be demonstrating our fantastic audio equipment in a classical musical presentation by Geoff Bateman from the Federation of Recorded Music Societies.
Geoff has been involved with the FRMS for nearly 30 years and has given presentations for Societies throughout the North of England and at Regional Events.
... The programme will feature music being performed in forthcoming concerts at the Leeds International Concert Season. Geoff has a passion for recordings made in the 1950's and 60's and will include several of these in an event that should inspire those who still cherish the golden age of recording.
The equipment will include some of the finest High-end audio equipment from our roster of British manufacturers. Our comfortable surroundings and car parking facilities will ensure you have the best possible experience.
