Unfortunately, DNA director Steve Carrie was the victim of tackle theft at the weekend and is offering a substantial reward for any information that leads to the return of his items or the culprits being found.
Amongst the items taken were Free Spirit rods including 10-year-old, custom-built 13ft 3.5lb Hi-S’ive. These are very distinctive, as they have ...Steve’s name on the underside with no other writing. They have a line clip up the butt and an extra six inches in the handle.
These rods were stolen with Shimano Black Mag reels (with Weston Spool caps) and 15lb green GT80 line attached. They were in a three-rod Cotswold Aquarius rod bag with a Free Spirit net and some MPE bank sticks.
Please can everybody keep an eye out for any suspiciously high-end items of tackle on ‘for sale’ pages, eBay, at car-boot sales, second-hand shops, etc.
