Wigan Live Festival 2018! Come grab a table while you can

User

We never tire of the Symposium. The little pub can get busy but it is a very pleasant place in which to watch the world go by, especially at this time of the year. Very good beer and unfailingly courteous bar staff.

User

Was in Wigan end of September on a beautiful Friday afternoon, after checking out Mesnes Park, popped in to the Symposium and glasses of Blue Moon on draught, sat outside in the sun, great place, great location, fantastic beer, staff very helpful to my Aussie daughter, would recommend a visit.

User

Visited here with a lady friend of mine on a sunny afternoon of Friday 9th June 2017, having been reminded of it while passing by a few days before.

Very impressive!! A cosy little place with friendly staff, an excellent choice of snacks and snackettes, cask ales, foreign beers and other alcoholic beverages.

Situated in a slightly more scenic area of wonderful Wigan, just far enough away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the town centre, this is the perfect place to go to relax and enjoy good food and drink with good company.

Highly recommended.

User

User

No TV, no boneheads, no cackling airheads, no gaudy over painted slappers, very few tattooed ladies, just great beers and excellent company. Thanks to Chris and his staff.....oh !, and they do nice nibbles as well.

User

Nice venue, good atmosphere, clientele appear to enjoy being in there, close to Town Centre, apparently the bar food is good, not tried it myself.

Fab little pub. Our favourite place. Great pint & selection of wines. Food is small tapas/snackette style but absolutely delicious. Best pint of peroni in town!

Awesome drinking hole along with a multitude of great snacks

User

Only been once with my daughter and baby and dog after a walk in wigan park will be calling again when we take the dog for a walk lovely staff

User

Lovely spot . Blue moon beer my favourite

User

Great little pub, like a European style cafe bar which is amusingly incongruous in Wigan. A little bit out of the town centre but the main attraction is the sheer quality of the beer. Docs serves some of the best beer you're likely to find in Wigan. If you've not been, check it out

User

Went yesterday great service went today service by the two young guys was totally unacceptable I opened the door and said I have a dog and can’t come in can I have a pint of wainwrights beer I sat down outside n waited 15 mins no drink appeared so I went to the door and asked have you forget about me the reply I got was we have none of the beer you asked for I said ok any guest beer will be fine I sat down again outside waited another 15 mins no beer so I went inside and asked why I hadn’t been served the reply was we don’t have time to bring your beer outside to you even though I witnessed them bringing food outside to customers on 5 separate occasions

Shite service Shite attitude I would love the owner to message me
