Nice pub and good beer selection. Food out of frozen packets I think! And they ran out of loads of options. Very popular and quick turnaround.

Busy dog friendly pub. The food is good. As well as pub favourites there are some unusual options on the menu such as a very tasty and warming goulash. First rate beer. I plan to go back to try the rest of the menu!

We were recommended the Hungarian Goulash. It didn't disappoint. Really popular venue with an electric atmosphere and great staff.

As group of ladies, we were excited to experience the Dog and Gun Thursday Night Pub Quiz (it was very basic). HOWEVER we were sorely disappointed after being rudely turned away from the bar, including an incident in which a member of a group was IDed for getting tap water. When we simply tried to participate in the pub quiz they refused on the grounds they had no more sheets. (Very unprofessional). Furthermore, they refused to serve us food. We were bitterly dissatisfied. We will not be returning and were very disappointed. The dogs were cute, and only one of the staff members was accommodating.

Great selection of cask ales and spirits. Food looked and smelled great although we were only in for a drink as had already eaten. Friendly and knowledgeable bar staff. Asked for G&T, they recommended ginger ale with the rhubarb gin ordered. Cannot fault this advice as matched superbly with the accompanying orange and cinnamon when served. Great atmosphere, everyone friendly. Dogs and walkers most welcome.

Dog friendly, used to be better atmosphere here before they tore it out to make more room for goulash eaters.

Second visit on a trip to the lakes, we remembered how lovely it was last time and came back.

The staff are really friendly and the pub itself is both cosy and spacious even when busy.

This place is dog friendly so bring your pooches for a warm welcome and a seat by the log fire!!

Quick service, nice food and reasonable prices. Nacho sharing starter wasn't so good so would avoid that due to poor value for money, and sour cream.

Excellent food. Dog friendly. Very nice selection of cask ale indeed. Gets busy - and can be kept a bit warm; uncomfortably so. But overall a great pub.
