Have you just got a puppy?
These are strange times and you may now be working from home, and your kids are home from school which means you have lots and lots of time with your puppy. Which is great! 🥰
BUT life will not always be that way and don't forget to also teach your puppy how to be alone. Otherwise they are going to get a horrible shock in a few months time.
... So every day, leave your puppy a few times a day by themselves, even if you make the sound of the front door closing and tiptoe upstairs and sit in your bedroom for 5-minutes, and then 10 minutes and then half an hour.
Always leave your puppy somewhere safe where they can't get into mischief or harm themselves, and leave them with a Kong or puzzle toy so that you leaving is paired with something nice happening.

Common sense really 😏 Only it doesn't appear to be - common, that is 🤔

If only people understood this more. Training a fabulous recall is about weeks & months of preparation & being consistent at ALL times. Ideally starting when they are pups, but it's never too late.
