Dogology Training

Fun this morning despite the wind! Hoopers with Chewy and Arni. Chewy is making excellent progress with his young handler and we welcomed Arni today who, as a rescue who has been with his family only three weeks, did a great job in his first lesson. Both these guys love a tunnel!
Two from the Agility group: Rosie has got the hang of a jumping grid (although in this photo she decided to fly 😂) and Max had his first lesson with us and did great! We will work more on sending on to a target now.

Week One for the new puppies! They learnt all about using a "Marker Word/Clicker" and put it into practice learning some new cues. All of them did a great job and took the outdoor venue (and associated horses!) in their stride 😁 Clever puppies 👏 Next week is my favourite, Confidence Week!

Fun in Sun with Agility and Hoopers! Jasmine had a foundation Agility 121, then it was time for Hoopers class! Well done everyone, great work :)

This is the very handsome Chester trying out Hoopers for the first time. He absolutely smashed it! Brilliant work from Chester and good owner 👏👏👏 He comes from an Agility background so he had a lot of the foundations in place but coming to a new venue and seeing hoops and barrels for the first time he was superb!

Wow what can I say...all these puppies put in a fine performance this evening on their final lesson. Their owners have worked hard with them and I'll be seeing some of them back in future classes! Well done everyone 👏👏👏

It was Hoopers time this morning! Below is Harley who had a 121 learning Hoopers for the first time. He did really well and picked it up quickly! Also well done to this morning's group class too, they did amazingly. We found out Stella LOVES the tunnel and Chewbacca did some fantastic barrel wraps! (Remind me to take pictures next week!)

I spent today on an intensive 9 hour assessment. I am now an accredited Canine Hoopers UK instructor and looking forward to continuing to deliver quality Hoopers lessons. I have some refined foundation exercises for you all to start you on the road to that coverted distance handling and forward drive typical of playing Hoopers with your dog! Message me now to enquire about lessons (group classes and private lessons available).

Tonight's puppy class was all about using their noses. After various scent activities they were let loose (one at a time of course!) on a search area. Marley the Cocker X Poodle won with a time of 26 seconds! Scent games are great for providing calm mental enrichment, and great fun for us to watch them use their noses!

Isn't Stanley absolutely gorgeous? He had a puppy consultation last week to start him off on the right track. I'm looking forward to seeing him again when he joins the puppy class on 4th June! I think he will have grown a lot by then! (Only two places remaining if you want to book your place for your puppy!)
