Went there to see Alan West and Steve Black play it was very busy when we got there their music is the best and they always come and have a chat to us! We have stayed at the Dolphin Hotel a few years ago now and it was very nice, comfortable food delicious too! Would recommend it to anyone visiting South Devon!

Well soooo pleased a good pub doing good �..

it's is what it is . Not bistro, not a dump. It's dated but just great take it as you find it don't think about changing it.. only thing I could suggest - Dim the lights at music time candles on and it would take it to a whole new level... just loved it the staff were cheeky . We will be back maybe without all the dogs

We called in here today for lunch, have visited a few times before and have to say please don't ever change, the service we have received on each visit is excellent, the meals are always very well presented and very tasty, Thank you again.

The food was gorgeous,hot, tasty and presented well. I had plaice and my partner had gammon. The atmosphere was calm but friendly just what we needed after a busy week. Would definitely recommend a visit to the dolphin in beer

Stayed for two nights last weekend for the third year in a row (for the famous Grizzly race weekend).

Always a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Dolphin. We had dinner in the hotel both nights, very tasty, good service and reasonably priced. Breakfast is included in the room price and also excellent.

Will definitely stay at this friendly hotel next year and if I'm ever in the area again.

Popped in for a carvery after a fun day at pecorama. It was bloody lovely! Best carvery I’ve had in years. The meat was beautifully cooked, stuffing was to die for, the veg dishes were so fresh and tasty, we’ll be back for sure!

Lovely meal for Mother in laws birthday, I had the prawn salad which as always is excellent and massive and my husband and his mum had the skate, which were also huge and beautifully cooked. The service is excellent and Trish our waitress was very good.

Just returned home from a 2 night stay, and what a lovely place it is. The staff are friendly, the food is lovely and the hotel rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend to stay here and I hope to visit beer again as I fell very quickly in love with the place.

Have stayed at the Dolphin several times & also cannot fault this lovely Hotel/Pub set in the pretty High Street of beautiful Beer Village. The rooms are warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean & well furnished & the staff are friendly, helpful & work hard to make sure your stay is memorable. Great food menus & everything you would expect from a popular bar with a welcoming atmosphere. A very special place for me & my family.. can't wait to return..

Great place for fresh food and a nice pint , the staff are always welcoming and willing to go the extra mile when needed.

The hotel is literally a few metres away from the beach with one of the best views around.

The hotel rooms are clean a tidy and quite spacious and there is ample space to dine in either the large restaurant or bars which stay open late.

Fab Mothering Sunday meal in the restaurant yesterday...drove all the way from Cardiff as we love the place ...food/staff everything first class..

Delicious turkey and ham pie with mash and veg. Very reasonably priced for such a large portion. I was looking forward to Dutch apple pie but i was too full up! Very nice place and dog friendly.

Cannot fault this very friendly, spotlessly clean hotel/pub. The staff were so helpful and it was the smiles we were greeted with that leave a lasting memory. The restaurant serves great portions of quality food from a varied menu. Sad to be leaving but glad to have found such a delightful hotel. We shall be back... Thankyou!

Been here on numerous occasions just for a drink, a meal and I have had the pleasure of staying here!

Such a lovely atmosphere, the staff make you feel so welcome and they were fab with my dog too! The food is lovely and highly recommended and the bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Brilliant place in a stunning area. Well worth a visit in my opinion �

Always have the Carvery when we are staying in Beer , the steak and Kidney pie last night was very good so nice to walk out of a place and say you are full up well worth the visit d

nice food and great fish yesterday for lunch - but slightly confused with new layout of bar lounge in the back now and restaurant in the front (it was empty)

sat down in the nice table in the bar area waiting to be served but was ignored

had to ask why no service told its now order at the bar -seems daft when staff are walking past you with nothing to do and ignoring you!



prefer the old service of being served and attended to properly in all areas - Been visiting the dolphin for 50 years - go back to what you do best - service please! + the girls will get tips if they wait tables!!!

Had a meal in the restaurant very nice only disappointment was there was no crab available.
