Donna Horner, Travel Counsellor - Kirkby In Ashfield, Notts, Uk Description

I am now privileged to be part of the award winning company, Travel Counsellors because I wanted to be associated with a company that takes pride in putting the needs of our clients first and foremost. A company that does not limit the suppliers that I can use to offer the most varied choices to my clients. Instead as an independent agent I have access to numerous ATOL /ABTA bonded Tour Operators, as well as our very own Tour Operator called Suitcase, guaranteeing you the best and most impartial advice available to you.

The unique concept of having your own personal Travel Counsellor on hand to handle your requirements means that you will deal with the same person and be offered completely unbiased advice with every query dealt with as a priority.

I can book on your behalf for anything from a cottage on the Lakes, a European City break to a Worldwide multi-stop once in a life time trip.

All without having to leave your sofa or put your credit card details into a website.

We also have our own financial protection in place so you have complete and total peace of mind.

If you like the thought of having your very own personal travel adviser then why not give me a call or drop me an email and I look forward to arranging your dream holiday!

So yesterday was another bucket list day! A full on all singing all dancing Philadelphia extravaganza!!
Started off at the eerie Eastern State Penitentiary where we heard all about the history of the building, how it has changed over the years and it’s, sometimes famous, inmates.
Next we moved onto the Hop On Hop Off bus tour where we had heard about and experienced all of the great sights and history of Philadelphia. From City Hall to Rocky Statue, the Waterfront to Indepen...dence Hall. Sooooo much to see and do.
It was then onto an historical walking tour learning about the birth of the nation, how it came about and the events since that have shaped the USA. Got to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall amongst several other original buildings from the time.
We were then treated to lunch at Reading Terminal Market... when in Philly it has to be cheesesteak and I was not disappointed!! I went classic with cheese wizz and American cheese with onions from CARMENS FAMOUS ITALIAN HOAGIES & CHEESESTEAKS. Messy but totally worth it!! Followed by something that was recommended for dessert, Canoli from Termini Bros Bakery.
After some free time to explore we started our evening at the Rocky statue, before heading up the famous steps and standing at the top where Rocky did in the 1982 movie. An hour of enjoying the Museum of Art’s Friday Nights concept with an amazing jazz band in the foyer and world class art was another unexpected highlight.
We finished the day/night with dinner at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar - Philadelphia which was out of this world! A great setting, fresh, tasty food and a couple of mojitos with great company to round off what will has been a memorable stay in this great city.
I will DEFINITELY be back!!

Fabulous first day on #USAMegaFam with Visit The USA and Discover Philadelphia... great flight with American Airlines, then it was off to One Liberty Observation Deck with 360 degree views of Philadelphia from the 57th floor.
Followed by dinner and drinks at the awesome SPIN... brilliant place to have a giggle and get to know each other! Even checked out the local brew!

So it’s almost time for me to log off for the weekend... I don’t generally log off for a weekend, as you know I’m around almost all of the time, but this weekend is a special one!
I turn 40 on Sunday and am having a party tomorrow night so lots to organise. Obviously I’ll be on hand for emergencies but anything else I’ll be in touch on Monday...
I’ve been told many times that life begins at 40... if life before 40 is anything to go by I can’t wait to see what’s in store because I have a family who I love dearly, a husband who supports me in everything I do, I get to visit the most amazing places and I do a job that I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to do every day! Bring on the forties!!!

You can receive quotes, see itiineraries, hotel descriptions, pictures, flight times, travel documents and there is even a very cool countdown to your upcoming trips!
You can also contact me by phone or email at the touch of a button as well as make payments through it so your financial ...informaiton is always safe.
You don't even have to have a booking (yet) to download the app, you'll just need me to set up an account for you!
So why not head to Google Playstore or Apple App Store now and get this handy little app....

With the awful news of FlyBMI going into administration this evening, my clients who are booked to travel with them already have their alternative options offered to them at no additional cost or a full refund.
It might be Saturday evening but my clients don’t have to worry that they have to fill in forms, deal with credit card companies or source alternative arrangements, I take care of it all for them.
It’s not always just about the holiday booking but sometimes it’s all about the aftercare.

How could I forget....
Today I celebrate 7 whole years as a Travel Counsellor! I joined a company that is forward thinking, caring, honest and like a family. 7 years on that hadn’t changed.
I LOVE what I do and look forward to continuing to do it for many years to come.
... So if I have been lucky enough to book your holidays in the past 7 years then I would like to thank you for allowing me to be part of your trips and to do the job I love.
Cheers to many more ❤️

And just like that I'm back form my amazing trip to New York and Las Vegas! Where did that week go???
It was freezing (in both places - only we could go to the middle of the desert and it be -2c!) but we explored, enjoyed, experienced everything the Big Apple and Sin City had to offer, although we might just have to go back to make sure!
I'll be posting a blog about my adventures in the next few days so please keep a look out and have a read with a cuppa once it's up :) I'd ...love to hear what you think....
Right, I have LOTS of lovely enquiries (it seems that New York and Las Vegas are a theme at the moment!) so I best get on :D

Day one of our New York trip... the view from our room, iconic buildings, Times Square, paying our respects at Engine 54 and $1 a slice pizza for dinner (and it was lovely pizza)! What a place!
That’s a few ticked off the bucket list! Got a packed day today.... Ground Zero, Flatiron district, Wall Street, Chinatown and Empire State Building to make a few.

Another 6am start after a 10pm finish!
It was certainly Blue Monday yesterday... BLUE sea, BLUE sky but certainly no holiday BLUES for my lovely customers!
