Doodles has had a retail presence on the high street and has now transitioned to becoming an online community but still with all the magic that made Doodles the ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ that it was.
Katy, the founder of Doodles has begun to build a reputation for her original, creative designs using 3D elements and resin which has become hugely popular, focusing primarily on botanicals and nature. She paints with oils, acrylics and mixed media creating stunning compositions that use vivid colours, textures and finishes to create a distinctive and magical style.
With her background in Graphic Design, her compositions always have a strong sense of design and style and her love of nature and colour are a distinctive element within her work.

This one day upholstery workshop is an ideal introduction that covers the basic skills needed to do your own upholstery projects. You will learn about traditional and modern upholstery techniques, including webbing and stuffing. You can bring your own small project, a dining chair with a drop seat, a piano stool or a footstool would be ideal. The upholstery materials that you will need for your project such as webbing, hessian, foam etc will be available to purchase on the da...y (allow up to £10 depending on how much your individual project requires). You only need to bring the covering fabric of your choice (and braid if required) and we can advise you on how much you will need beforehand. We will have all the tools that you need but if you happen to own any of your own upholstery tools (staple/tack removers, pincers etc) then bring those along too. If you are unsure if your piece of furniture is suitable project, feel free to email a photo (contact@doodlesonline.co.uk) or pop in the shop, and we can take a look and advise you. The price is £60 and includes expert tuition and free refreshments throughout the day.
