Doran Scotson was born in marsh green on the edge of the Ashdown forest in 1978 . He spent his formative years close to nature . His character was also formed by the journey to overcome the effects of severe brain injury leading to cerebral palsy . These experiences blended into passion for using imagery from nature to create to evocative elemental world in the paintings
