Wow. First visit and loved the place. Great food, and one of the closest I've got to real Indian food in Newcastle.

What an amazing place. An Indian restaurant like no other. The team are so passionate about what they do and how they do it, and this is expressed in the quality of the food they produce. This isn’t your run of the mill anglicised Indian restaurant catering for the masses. It’s authentic and proud to be. We will definitely be back.

We went on a Sunday; you get a set menu selection of curries and sides. It was even better than expected. All the different options complimented each other deliciously. The staff was lovely too. That Secret Diner bloke knows what he is on about!

We visited on Tuesday evening and the place was pretty busy, the good word is obviously starting to spread. The new venue is really nice, warm and friendly with a nice authentic feel. The staff got us seated and took our drinks orders straight away. As for the the food, it was delicious as it always has been. There are a few more options on the menu now but the classic dosa, fantastic 'tuk-tuk' and divine kulfi still remain. We tried the prawns and vada for starters, both beautiful! Highly recommend you try the 'Chilli ginger Cooler' too... might have to try a cocktail next time! Wonderful visit, will be back for more!

We had such a lovely lunch here yesterday! The Vegetarian thali was incredible - loads of variety, amazing flavours and great value. The staff were attentive and looked after us really well, checking that everything was ok and whether we needed top-ups. Plus they happily replaced a couple of bits to make my dish vegan, and offered a fruit juice in place of dessert which I was very happy with. Will definitely be back!

Tried the Uttapam and Dosa plus some starters. Cracking food and well priced. We’ll be back!

The waiter was very informative and gave great advice on which dish complimented which.

Food was fantastic, really clean flavors and not at all oily or greasy. Chicken tuk tuk was absolutely delicious. Definitely Recommend.

The food is perfect, flavours are amazing and as a veggie, I'm spoiled for choice. The team are really helpful and friendly and I can't wait to go back again!

I've been to Dosa Kitchen twice now; with a party of 6 and then 2. Both times the service has been wonderful and food has come fresh and quickly. Considering there wasn't an empty table in the house tonight when we were there we were extra impressed with the service. The food is authentic, fresh, delicious and bursting with flavour. As a vegan I found the menu FANTASTIC! The decor is lovely and the whole restaurant is welcoming and comfortable; I especially love the large tables in the mezzanine area. I will be recommending Dosa Kitchen to all of my friends and family � Thanks for 2 lovely experiences, can't wait for there to be more.

Had a lovely meal last night, company was great as was the food, I go to India twice a year and I’ve got to say the vegitarian sapaad was up there with the thali’s over there, a really nice touch was the owner coming over to speak to us personally - will DEFINITELY be back

My partner has done lots & lots or travelling throughout India & Asia over the years. Every mouthful brought back some wonderful memories and stories to tell of her travels.

We will certainly be back again to tantalise the taste buds again.

Excellent food, service and decor. The food is just awesome and a proper taste of South India. A gem for foodie lovers and great beer too. Thanks for looking after our big group of 14 which had a few kids too.

Can't believe I only heard about this place last night, so ate here on the last night before they close, hopefully to move to a new permanent premises in Jesmond (though a shame that it won't be just up the road for me any more). The food was absolutely delicious and very authentically South Indian. Amazing masala dosa that was perfectly crisp and then soft on the inside. Friendly and welcoming service and a great experience all round. Thank you. Look forward to hearing news of your new premises.

Authentic tasty South Indian Sappadu (சாப்பாடு) meal. The tiffins are very tasty. Kumbakonam degree coffee is just exactly how it should be. Might have to rent a flat in Jesmond �

Absolutely stunning food! We were thrilled to see Dosa Kitchen return to the north east and enjoyed a fantastic meal there earlier this week. Service was attentive and beautiful premises but the food is the real star of the show here: fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced. We will be returning soon!

We have been here twice now and both times for the Sunday sampaad. I cannot fault the food as it is delicious. Missed a place that did dosa since Amma's closed its doors. I was originally going to give 4 stars but have dropped it down to 3 and that is being nice as others might drop it further for this reason that I am about to tell you about. I have been to many restaurants and have never been charged for hot water with some lemon but this establishment charged me £2.10 for a small glass of hot water with a few slices of lemon and they said that that is what they class as lemon tea. I always thought lemon tea was lemon with tea and not hot water and lemon. I would recommend they change their stance on this matter or they might lose customers if they too end up ordering this so called lemon tea. I am sure many people will agree with me about this issue so hopefully they will change.
