Dot Cotton Club Cambridge

About Dot Cotton Club Cambridge

While we move to a new venue, the night will have slightly altered dates, opening times and prices for a while. . please keep an eye upcoming events for more details! Dot Cotton has been part of the LGBT + scene in Cambridge for almost 30 years!

Dot Cotton Club Cambridge Description

Doors open at 10pm, with entry just £5 all night! The Dot Cotton Club has been a staple of the LGBT + scene in Cambridge for over 20 years, seeing 1000s of happy clubbers dance and drink the night away, originally at The Junction and Nusha bar, then Q-Club and now our new home at Fez Club, Market Passage.

Our aim is to ensure that both locals and visitors to the city, of all genders and sexualities have a safe, fun venue to meet and enjoy.

The music policy is pop, dance, remixes, mashups, cheese and R& B but we will play almost anything that gets people on their feet!

We have plenty of seated areas, most with sofas and tables, vodka jellies, a variety of bottled beers, ciders & alcopops, and more lights & lasers than you can shake a pink fluffy stick at!

Gays in Cambridge do seem to attract the random god botherers!

Tonight is the night! Doors open at 10pm so don't be late - Dot Cotton Club will be on the main stage from 11pm and then back again in the upstairs bar later in the evening :-)
Come join us to Dance with Pride - for the few who haven't bought your advance tickets already, you can grab them on the door, and don't forget your student card if you have one for a discount!

Everyone, please share this as much as you can, there are still people we aren't reaching who don't even know this event is going ahead! Cambridge Gay Scene (LGBT) Gay Cambridge LGBT Information

Congratulations to Ashly Stoneman who's won 2 free tickets to Dance With Pride - Club Night on Saturday 24th November, plus plenty of other goodies!
Everyone else, you still have half an hour to get tickets at the special early bird price! Head over to https://www.junction.co.uk/dance-with-pri de quick :-D

Who's won our two free tickets for Dance With Pride - Club Night and goodie bag?? 😁

User

There are now over 700 people on the event listed as going or interested - we can't wait! The main dance floor will be fitted with UV cannons, so if you own something that glows under ultra-violet, wear it! (or just wear white or flashing accessories 😁) We'll also have Dance with Pride team members splashing UV facepaint around and handing out glow bracelets, so get there early to grab one - plus did you know tonic water shimmers blue in UV? Get those G&Ts in! 😜

Get ready for a double dose of fabulousness!! Coming just one week after we help take over The Junction nightclub, for DANCE WITH PRIDE on Saturday November 24th (www.facebook.com/events/237649437049098 ) , December means it's time for our annual Christmas White Party!
We're giving you plenty of notice because we want white facepaint and hairspray, white costumes, angel wings, glitter!! Even if you're super low-key, we expect at least a white t-shirt (but come on, you can do better!)
We'll have the latest floor fillers mixed in with a sprinkling of festive classics, so see you there!

User

We're ready for you! Come evacuate to our Atomic bunker!

User

Well don't know about everyone else, but we're playing Mad Max style dress up tomorrow night in our underground Atomic fallout shelter! For anyone who fancies giving their Halloween costumes a second outing (or who never got round to it on the 31st), feel free, we'd love to see! :-D

User

Happy Halloween everyone! Although the next Dot Cotton Club THIS SATURDAY misses spooky season by just a few days, feel free to go nuts in our post-apocalyptic underground bunker - dress up and get down, then grab a radioactive vodka jelly!
Plus remember to come buy your Dance with Pride tickets from the DJ booth.. we have a limited number costing just £11 each (you won't pay a booking fee if you get them from us) and it will guarantee you entry to the Cambridge's biggest LGBT+ event of the year, on Saturday 24th November at the Junction 😁

This month's Dot Cotton Club is coming at you with a bang... Q-Club is no more; wiped out in a mushroom cloud of glitter, our host venue shall from now on be known as 'ATOMIC' and it's going to be 'da bomb'!!
To celebrate, expect great themed tunes (Blondie's Atomic? Well duh!), 4 Jagerbombs for a tenner and a shiny new paint job all round! Plus we'll have tickets on sale for the LGBT+ party of the year, DANCE WITH PRIDE coming at the end of November at The Junction - get them from us for just £11 and you'll save on the booking fee. See you there

Don't forget to bring your charity pennies (well, hopefully pounds!!) You can grab a drink at the bar with your card/tap to pay, but there will be collection buckets around the place to donate cold hard cash to the brilliant Cambridge Pride charity, both because you're amazing people and also because you want the chance to sing a karaoke TUUUUNE!

User

EXCITING NEWS! In addition to the fact its almost Dot Cotton time this Saturday, we are very excited to announce we will be supporting Cambridge Prelude to Pride. The Dance With Pride event at the Junction on 24th Nov with the Legendary Fleurettes, who will be joining us for what promises to be an EPIC party! More details to follow, please click on the Cambridge Pride event to keep updated! (and follow the main Cambridge Pride page!!!!!) https://www.facebook.com/events/237649437 049098/

We have an extra special treat for you this month - we are opening our doors early at 7pm while our friends at the Cambridge Pride charity host two hours of fabulous sing-along karaoke (with happy hour drinks prices throughout!) before the dancing begins!
There is no entry fee to come SING WITH PRIDE and you can even stick around for the rest of the night at Dot Cotton Club without spending another penny (saving yourself a fiver for entry to just the club after 9pm) All we a...sk is that you donate towards this brilliant cause; just pop a quid in the bucket to sing a song or give what you can to help the Cambridge Pride charity put on the best event they can in 2019.
Once the final warbled notes of ABBA and Bon Jovi have faded, we'll keep the party going with tunes from the 80s to today, for you to dance to until 2am or you fall over - whichever comes first... now go post below what you're gonna sing!

Dont forget to head to Parkers Piece at midday today and join us for this Prelude to Pride event in Cambridge! Many of you have wanted a Cambridge Pride for years and 2019 marks the first, but there's plenty going on in 2018 to kick it all off 😁

Summer's over, but we're not - with our great cheap drinks and all the best tunes of today and yester-year, celebrate and commiserate the start of Autumn with us at the bar or on the dance floor!
