G'day foodies, It's been a while. Over the past few months, we have had a lot to deal with, both business and personal. Life is a very windy road sometimes and navigating it can often mean making tough decisions. One of those decisions has had to be the business. We are as of this moment looking to sell the mobile side of Double O's. This will include the Van and all of the kit. Whilst this may sound drastic, we are actually going to be saving and working to raise th...e extra funds we need to to secure premises. We have considered next year by the river but if by chance we have the same or similar temperatures to this year, we will end up in an even worse situation than we have been. I have enjoyed every single second of being by river, whatever the weather but it just isn't feasible for us to continue as we are so it is with a very, very heavy heart that I write this post. Carlie and I are both equally happy that we have made the right decision and are also both equally dedicated in raising the funds we need to get the premises.
So, if anyone is interested in buying the business or would like more information, please PM me and we are open to sensible offers.
On a personal note from me, thank you all so so much for the friendships, support, laughs, banter and all the good times we have shared by the river. I will miss it so much. 😪

Evening foodies, Please accept my apologies for the lack of posts but we have had issues to address and thinking to do which is also why we have not been trading this week . This year has been extremely difficult in that the weather, no matter what has been against us. The soaring temperatures caused a massive drop in sales and what should have been our months to create the safeguard for the winter, turned into using what we had to get by. This has caused issues with not ...only the business but also my personal life and we have had to now draw a line. We had intended to trade through the winter on an as and when the weather permitted basis but without the safeguard that should have been there, I have no option but to now look for a job to get me through the winter. I will SHOUT it out now that this is in no way the end of Double O's but the fact is that the business is not paying the bills. We are hoping to trade both fair nights but there is a beasty out in the Atlantic heading our way so we will be keeping an eye on things but after the fair and going forward, we will only be opening Friday and Saturday each week. Again, we are NOT stopping the business. We have so much to push on with in terms of the chilli sauces, The Tewkswurst and The Tewksburger so the business will continue and we will get premises. The only thing that has changed is the time frame. We have further meetings to attend next week so things could change very quickly. We already have four event bookings for next year and we will continue to take bookings for functions so please drop us a message if you are looking for a caterer.
Both Carlie and I are obviously devastated that we are unable to continue trading as we are and although the business is our dream, it has to pay the bills. We would like to thank each and everyone of you that has come down and supported us and the friendships we have built since we started Double O's are by far the most valuable to us so again, thank you all so very much.
If the weather front holds off, we will be back to the river for Tuesday and Wednesday next week and hope we can still count on your support going forward.

Evening foodies, Just a heads up that the Tewkswurst will be on the specials board for Friday and the weekend. Also the fair is nearly upon us so like last year we will be open until 9 or sell out both nights.
The new Trinity sauce has had nothing but brilliant feed back so if you like it hot, this is the one for you.

Right foodies, Tomorrow sees a break in the weather and an opportunity to fire up the grill. Winds look ok but forecast is light rain pm so we will be opening but as Sunday the wind picks back up we can only open tomorrow. We will have limited stock as we only have one day to trade but we will have specials. Chicken Breast Wraps, Old Spot Nugget Wraps, Scottish Rump Wraps or a Roll and the the ever favourite Cheese and Peppercorn Sauce.
... Tomorrow also sees the first appearance of Trinity. Our newest and by far our hottest sauce. This one has a lot of heat but also amazing flavour so you chilli heads need to come down and give this one a go.
We will keep you posted for next week but it is looking a lot more promising so fingers crossed. Hope you are all having a great week and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Evening foodies, Firstly just to advise that due to the high winds, we will not be trading tomorrow. At present, we may be lucky if we can get Saturday in but as always we will keep an eye on the sky.
Now for the secondly. Today we viewed premises in Tewkesbury that we are not able to disclose quite yet. They are perfect for us and we would be in a situation where we could literally walk in and start trading as the previous owners will be leaving every appliance, chairs..., coolers and fridges etc. This could be available as of January the 1st but we do have further discussions to go through with the present owners before any decisions are made. This could not be in a more perfect location and perfect situation for us. We have not made a secret of how difficult this year has been for us so far. With the soaring temperatures and other factors, we are just surviving but at personal cost. If we are not able to secure premises or a more fixed location, we will need to sit down and seriously consider the future of Double O's. We now have our Crowdfunder page up and running and if there has ever been a time we need your support, it's now.
We hope we can at least get a couple of days in this week but it isn't looking great with the winds and the forecast so fingers crossed for Saturday at the minute.

Evening foodies, Friday brings another weekend round and a board of specials. Sunday is looking very unlikely due to high winds so tomorrow maybe your only chance to get your hands on one. We have out new Chicken Wraps, the Tewkswurst and out new Sausage Nugget Wrap. Why not too off one of these with some Cheese and Peppercorn Sauce? I had some on a Tewkswurst today and have to admit, it's my new fave so be sure to come down and give a go. We have the full menu as usua...l so don't wait until Sunday as you could miss out.
Tomorrow we have a kilo, yes, that's a kilo of locally grown chillies being delivered. These include, Reapers, Moruga Scorpions, Bhut Jolokia, Borg 9, Purple Ghost Naga, Mustard Orange Habanero, Pot Douglah and Brain Strain. Feels like Christmas 😊 Chilli sauce head is on.
We haven't heard anything yet with regards to the One Show feature airing but will keep you updated as usual.

Morning all, As suspected, the winds are too strong to set up today. Frustrating as it was too windy yesterday but we were able to peg down on the Nature Reserve and we were snug as a bug. If only we could peg down by the river. We will be back Wednesday with another full menu and another weekend of specials to look forward to.

Well, after finally getting round to trying out Double O's just now I can safely say it's amazing!! Don't think I've been genuinely excited about being handed a burger before! �

Not since the hacienda days of Tewkesbury burger star have we spoilt with a burger so good... These are actually better mind ��

Super friendly chap who takes time to explain the food and wow had the pleasure to try the Tewkswurst sausage absolutely amazing the spices combine to create a super tasty sausage that will make your taste buds stand up and dance

So I got to sample the new tewkswurst sausage yesterday, what can I say other than, as always. Amazing! The flavours complimented each other perfectly. I'm going to have my next one wrapped in bacon I think. Clive bond keep up the good work my friend.

Saw a sign on the high street pointing here. Ordered a foot long Tewkesbury, cooked fresh on the spot. Fantastic flavour. Not a chilli person but lots of chilli sauces on offer. Make sure you visit this place. Thanks guys �

Oh my word ....what a find .... what amazing food ...had the tewksbratty..never had sausage with sssooo much flavour and to be served by a man who is so passionate and proud of his cuisine.... next time I'm anywhere around that area first stop ...here .....

It's fair to say I've had the odd burger or two and was excited to see an article about Licence to Grill in the Echo.



Before getting there I had one nagging worry. Given that the prices were so reasonable, would the burger quality suffer? Well it doesn't. Not by a long chalk. Indeed, the opposite is true. The meat quality is incredible. As is the choice of burgers and additional sauces

Great service the burger and egg with onions chillie cheese top with the reaper chillie sauce wow it was beautiful fresh local source ingredients including the secret home made local pick chillies sources need i say any more i even went back for another why not.

Found this place by accident parking by the river thought I’d give it a try, I love a good burger and this was right up with the best! Just as good as 5 guys and half the price! Will defo be back for another �� good work sir!

Double O’s was recommended by a friend and what a great recommendation! Clive is a top bloke - really friendly and cooked amazing BBQ style food. The homemade sauce topped it all off! Such fresh food and lovely to sit outside even in the winter with a hot steak baguette! We will be returning �

Decided to try the "footlong" Tewkswurst, WELL I was blown away, so much flavour and a wonderful hint of mustard and Tewkesbury horse radish, I have to say it's the best lunch time snack I have had in a long time.

Came here today tried 8 oz burger can honestly say it was spot on!! Now I look forward to trying all the other things like the foot long sausage, I highly recommend it to everyone. : )

Came down for my monthly jaws burger the other day and splashed some horseman sauce on there!! Perfect combination of flavour and heat made for a very enjoyable burger as always �� keep up the good work Clive what your doing is amazing and I hope the right people notice and help you get where you want to go! �

Been wanting to try doubles o’s for a while and finally did today. Had the foot long chilli tewkswurst and it was lovely, really flavoursome but not too spicy. Will be back again soon �
