Doubletree By Hilton Hotel & Spa Chester

The grounds and restaurant were lovely, really nice location, however the afternoon was quite possibly the worst I have ever had. Sandwiches were ok, nothing to report either way. The scone was nice and warm (hence the 2 stars) but the rest of the cakes you needed a magnifying glass to see and you only got one of each. There certainly wasn't enough to share them. The quality of the cakes was substandard as well as tiny,all in all very disappointing especially as the Hilton on Park Lane and the Double Tree Hilton in Manchester do such lovely afternoon teas!
We won't be back :(

Good experience. First visit for spa day. Facilities were good , thermal outside pool an experience, swimming pool on the small side. Massage was really good, a stubborn knot on back needed special attention. A busy but relaxed environment with professional staff, maybe should be more smiley but was busy including time restraints . Overall a good day out.

My favourite spa! Been here on quite a few occasions... Staff are friendly and always welcoming, I always leave feeling refreshed and happy .. rooms are lovely! They also do an amazing breakfast! One of the best I've had.

A very pleasant 2 night stay at this hotel. Very friendly helpful staff especially Meg and Wendy. Bar staff very attentive and always busy tidying etc. Breakfast showed plentiful selection and prompt service for coffee or tea. Room was lovely but bed rather firm. Spacious. Ample parking. Would recommend for access to Chester or North Wales.

I really enjoy staying at this Hilton. It`s minutes away from Chester Zoo. My daughter 9 loves visiting the spa and using the outside Jacuzzi. The pool is fun. The food in the restaurant is excellent. My room had an Ethernet connection and the parking is also more than adequate. Join Hilton honors if you are a regular as the benefits are also good.

Location on edge of town, fab food at the Marco Pierre White Restaurant attached, wonderful service. The spa is great and the gyms lovely and quiet but well equipt. Lots of options to go including Groupons and pay as you gym etc as well as hotels own rates

We recently used this hotel as a wedding venue and, though building works were going on it had zero effect on what we can only describe as the best day of our lives. The staff accommodated our guests with 5* service in both a wedding and hotel guest capacity. The food was amazing and if we had to do it all over again there's no way we'd think of anywhere else. Amazing day, amazing venue!

Spent a day at the spa and a night in the hotel, lots of building work going on at the moment but really impressive how quiet it was. Room was very clean and comfortable. Spa was lovely, included a couple of steam rooms, sauna, relaxation room and a really warm indoor / outdoor pool. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The spa here is fantastic, probably the best I've been to. The pool has an open air section that allows you to swim out and feel the cold air whilst you're all warm in the heated pool. Despite being open air the walls are high so there are no privacy issues. Rooms at the hotel are clean and comfortable and the food is excellent. I look forward to going back again.
