Not our first stay at the hotel. We have stayed here several times before. The staff is pretty helpful and friendly. But the rooms are very basic. Not even a refrigerator in the room. The location is great, especially for those who are travelling. Right next to the airport. The shuttle service to the airport used to be free. Now we have to pay for that too. That's not fair. However, there were free ice lollies for the guests because of the heat. That was a pretty decent gesture
Booked 7 rooms well in advance, check out is 11 am check in is 3 pm. Arrived at 7:30 pm and rooms were not ready. Had to sit in the lobby for an hour before check in. How is this possible??? Staff was not very helpful and couldn't provide a straightforward answer when questioned.
Rooms were not overly clean, dust and cobwebs throughout. A/C system didn't work. Low shower pressure, dated hotel, definately not a 4 star, closer to 2.
Try somewhere else.
Staff were great but unfortunately the room was poor. We were there on a very hot night. The air conditioning was inadequate and we ended up opening the window which meant we were unable to sleep because of the noise. Also be aware the DoubleTree shuttle from the airport doesn't start till 4pm on weekdays. On the plus side, the staff the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
Used this hotel for a day-stay, while travelling. This was very convenient as it was a 10 minute walk from the airport. We had a chance to shower and rest before our next flight. Upon checking in we were welcomed with lovely chocolate chip cookies. We were asked what time we would check out again, and we were good to go for a few hours. We had problems with our cards, because they were maestro cards and not visa. Apparently, their machines work with Visa and American express. In the end it was sorted though.
Lunch was great! I ordered a pastrami sandwich that came with olives and crisps (chips). I enjoyed all of it. If I could've bought a bag of their crisps I would have.
