We went for a spa day so can’t judge the rooms, but atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant.

Very relaxing spa break. lovely spa and very comfortable room, the food is amazing and restaurant staff couldn’t be nicer � highly recommend �����

This was the 3rd time i’ve Been to the Oxford Belfrey & loved every Minuite 😊 rooms clean & lovely, spa & pool great , food excellent . Well what more can I say apart from a great place to go .

Nice atmosphere, Good Spa Facilities, Breakfast and Dinner were excellent! Car park clear even with all the snow. Will definitely come back again.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting! We stayed in a suite and it was enormous! The staff were very friendly and the food was very nice! We had room service which was very good quality food at a very good price! The breakfast was eat as much as you like and was of a good quality and they had a massive choice! It had a lovely swimming pool and sauna and steam room All in all a lovely hotel worthy of its 4 star rating and I would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful relaxing place to stay!

Excellent hotel I’ve visited for a spa day and it was a lovely location only thing I can fault is that the poolside area is a bit small. The relaxation lounge and the treatments themselves were good. It would be great if you could help yourself to tea and coffee in the lounge though.



I’ve also used the meeting room facilities for a training course and it was very well organised, we had all the equipment we needed plus regular refreshments and a tasty buffet lunch in the restaurant.



All in an excellent attractive location with modern rooms and facilities.

This is my 3rd stay at the Belfry for a spa weekend , the room was lovely, the food was really good as always, and the spa is fantastic, the only thing that spoilt it this time was we were woken up at 2 in the morning by a group of lads that were on a stag weekend, they were really loud and kept going in and out of each other’s room and slamming the door. I got up and went to them and asked if they could keep the noise down as people were trying to sleep and they should have more respect, but this went on for about an hour, so we never really got to sleep. I cannot understand why you should except taking a stag weekend booking with a load of young men in such a lovely hotel when you know they are going to get drunk and be a nuisance . I don’t think we will be going to the Belfry again as it spoilt the break for us and my husband payed a lot of money to upgrade to the pent house suite. Very tired and disappointed customer.

Spa Day - Massage & Therapist was great. Lunch Food was a lovely buffet selection. Facilities were not so good though as no Jacuzzi and the spa lounge wasnt a relaxing heated room. Also disappointing to have maintanence men on pool side most of the day.

Lovely hotel room very clean and comfortable,staff friendly and helpful,Sunday evening buffet was ok but always feel like second class citizens when on a coach trip.Extreme temperature when we visited ,as there was no air conditioning could have done with a fan in the room.

First time staying at the Oxford Belfry for over night spa break and we had a lovely time.

From the moment we walked in all the staff was extremely helpful and professional.

Pool side was nice and relaxing with only jacuzzis missing.Treatments was all good but definitely book early.

Only slight down side was the evening dinner not up to much but the lunch included in the package was well worth the money.

Room was pleasantly nice and big in lovely surroundings and the breakfast was provided with a good variety.

We will definitely be going back for anther Spa break.

Spa wasn’t very clean, there was hair and bits all over the floor of the pool side also in the steam room.This is the second time I’ve been, an awful smell coming from somewhere by the side of the pool which I told the team last time I came and was even worse today, a very strong egg/drain smell.... had to end my trip early, very disappointed Christmas present.

Nice place and lovely staff but it was difficult to relax with children running around, jumping in the pool, in and out of the steam room and sauna, hands all over the ice and throwing water around - a bit like being at our local swimming pool � I want to relax when I go to a spa!

Have been on spa weekends a few times here. Always had a good time. Hotel is busy. Food has always been amazing. Treatments are fabulous.



When booking ensure that dinner reservations and treatments are booked immediately as they get full quickly.



Update: stayed twice more in 2017 for overnight spa and one was perfect - the other fell well short of previous experiences - too busy so nowhere to sit even in the lounge area's, scone had to be sent back as rock solid (l suspect it had been microwaved from frozen), ran out of food at lunch time. No room around pool area.



I'm currently trying to book for 2018 but l want to book the single room that they have. Even though the room is available on the two dates l want l have been informed that l will be put in a double/twin room and charged a single supplement for that. I really don't think this is fair if the single room is currently available to book. Apparently if l am put in the single room l will STILL be charged a supplement.

Disappointing.

Stayed last night as attended a function so thought it easier to make a night of it. Plan was to use the spa sat afternoon before the event, we got into spa area and promptly walked out again- was far too hot to try and relax and whole place looked tired and unclean. I think an outside hot tub is needed as would've happily sat in that for the afternoon.

The room was way over priced for what it was, however the air con was very welcome, Bed was comfy and room was clean.

Room service charge of £4 was a little unexpected and ontop of the over priced food was a huge negative.

Also £3.75 for a regular coffee and £26 for a bottle of wine that cost a fiver in the shops is extortionate.

Having said all that the evenings meal and breakfast this morning were very nice so no issues there.

It's such a shame as it's such a huge hotel (we got a tad lost trying to find our room!) And should focus on the amenities a bit more and make the spa area more inviting and relaxing.
