From the moment you step into the hotel, you'll be impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail. One of the standout features of this hotel is the quality of the food. The burger I had for dinner was not only very tasty, but also cooked to perfection. We stay in one of the newer room which was nice and clean. The hotel is spacious with lots of parking. Located outside of Sheffield, so was quiet. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They sorted a taxi for us, which was there in minutes.
A recent two night stay. Amazing front desk and breakfast staff, as well as pool staff. Parking was free which was fantastic.
Only gripes: Original room the toilet flush was not working (spotted this straight away luckily, but front desk was super quick to rectify it), £5 charge per adult to use the pool (you got a voucher worth £5 though), didn't seem clear the Marco Pierre was open for lunch initially until we asked (maybe a recent change), housekeeping didn't refill the teas/coffees on the between the nights, but I'm sure if I asked front desk they'd have sorted it quickly, the actual location doesn't have too much going on - there's some shops walking distance but that's about it
King room is definitely the best room there. I enjoyed my stay. Staff were friendly, the gym is amazing for a hotel gym. Definitely get a good workout there.
Breakfast had a good selection, I didn't eat there in the evenings so couldn't comment. I was a bit spoilt with a Toby Carvery 2min drive down the road.
Some of the hotel is a bit dated but it definitely was a comfortable stay for me. Only the odd issue with noise,nothing a polite chat doesn't sort out.
Historically I couldn't have sung this venues praises enough, but in recent trips I've had at least 3 notable really poor service experiences.
Room service, breakfast service, bar service.
Such a shame as historically it's been perfect.
It's as though they have a good staff shift and then an alternate ran by a poor duty manager.

Deluxe rooms are lovely in the new section of the hotel. Some decor in the hotel is a little dated (I worked there 17 years ago and can still see bits). Staff are superb. Loads of parking. Beds super comfy. Blackout curtains do their job. Great location foe Sheffield, Chesterfield and the M1
Always a fabulous stay here. Welcomed right from front desk by every member of staff. Room spotless as usual. I even Sleep Better than when I am at home. This time my TV didn't work. It was swapped for a working one within 10 minutes.

Was greeted very politely but wonderful staff and a warm cookie! We got upgraded to a deluxe double king on arrival as it was our anniversary! The hotel and rooms were amazingly represented and very tidy! Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be revisiting thank you
The hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were lovely. We were at the hotel for a friend's birthday meal and the staff were great at looking after all 30+ of us and this was while there was another busy event happening on the same evening. The food was lovely and we had a great nights sleep too. Great hotel. We would definitely stay again.
Love this hotel. My parents come and stay here every time they come up and visit. It's always clean, friendly and great food and drink. Great place to stay and unwind.
The health services are also really nice. Great pool which my 6 year old loves, and the steam room helps with any hangover.
Really nice rooms, great staff and great location.
Had an hour to kill so popped in for a coffee. Staff were very accommodating even though they had a wedding function on. Coffee was nice.
Tried. Booking one night over the telephone- I was told I could only book for 2 nights @ £155 per night as there was the high demand for rooms, & all hotel around was fully booked.
I did get a room for £120 a few miles away for the night.
BUT
I turn up for my meeting on the way out just pop to reception and asked if there had for a room for one night

A very nice stay with great breakfast. Some places could be refurbished. But overall a nice stay.
I was working for a white collar boxing event. The hotel is lovely and the staff were lovely, there just wasn't enough staff on for a large event. To have a table service offered and then stopped because it's too busy was not a good service. I waited half an hour at the bar on my break to get a lemonade. The staff they had worked great and hard and I have no negative feedback at all really, just there should have been more staff.
