Well deserved 5 stars. It was our first time going tonight for my birthday. Absolutely fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere and super friendly staff! When I stated that 2 of us were vegan we were immediately pointed in the direction of the vegan options and it's very well colour coded on the menu. Definitely recommend and will be going back again for some more amazing food!

Was visiting Manchester and popped in for lunch. What a fantastic surprise for me, I have multiple food intolerances and don't eat out, so it was lovely able to have a gluten and dairy free pizza, with my family. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, food and service was great. Highly recommend.

User

Very friendly service as soon as we arrived. Hadn't booked but was seated immediately. Had a good choice of beers and other drinks, especially gins!

Had pizzas to eat which were all excellent.

Lovely evening

Stumbled onto this pizzeria by accident. Had a Vegan Veggie pizza with no mushrooms. Service was so quick and the pizza was delicious and a good size. And with the January deal we had two pizzas, olive starter and two coke all for £20.99. Brilliant

User

Really great food and the menu is clear about ingredients for people with food allergies and dietary requirements. There are plenty of options if there are foods you need to avoid.

User

Pre-booked, after reading previous reviews online, thankfully.....we were not disappointed.

The boy loved his pizza man shaped pizza and the ice cream to follow.

We shared the Rustica (sun blushed tomatoes, rocket and parmesan) pizza with added prosciutto and a chicken caesar salad. Both very filling. Oh and the garlic mayo dip....wonderful.

Topped off with a beavertown neck oil....what's not to love......

Excellent service from Josh...

Great gluten free pizza and beer. Cool place to eat and drink

User

Giving 5 stars for the food. We went last night and really enjoyed the meal, the pizza base was thin, crispy and gorgeous. The toppings were excellent, flavoursome and well balanced. My wife had a vegan wine and unlike most restaurants where by the staff have to secretly 'Google' if their wine is vegan or not the staff here were knowledgeable of their products. I had cola (someone has to drive).

Highly recommend this place for any vegan or veggie that wants a different environment to zizzis or pizza hut.

Now I'm giving 5 stars for the food and staff. However only 3 stars for the establishment. The toilets really let the place down. Dirty, smelly and looks like they're in need of some serious TLC.

User

Food was excellent. Staff pleasant and not obtrusive. Price was also good. Allergy information was easy to see on menu. Highly recommend.

First time at Dough! My son & Daughter rave about it and I wasn’t disappointed ... friendly staff, fantastic service & excellent food! I’ll be back 😀

User

Can’t rate this place highly enough . Had excellent vegan pizza and garlic bread delicious 😋

User

Brilliant meal. Not only gluten free vegetarian for me but dairy free vegetarian for my daughter and my sister! My youngest daughter has never finished a meal out in her 4 years, but tonight, not only did she eat her own pizza, she ate olives, her aunts garlic bread, dairy free ice cream, her aunts pudding and my pudding too! We've visited from Lincoln, and when we visit again, we'll be sure to be back!

Most successful family meal we've ever had!

User

Best meal I've eaten out in years because I was able to have cheese and a desert and being lactose intolerant that doesn't happen much anymore. Would definitely recommend!

User

I have Coeliac so this was a hidden treasure for me. The selection of gluten free options was incredible, there was very little I couldnt have! The have a separate kitchen to prepare the gf food so reassuring there was very little chance of cross contamination. Food was lovely, pizza base could have done with a couple of minutes more but delicious! Staff were excellent nothing was a problem. Would definitely recommend.

User

While the food was good - I had the chicken Caesar salad starter and linguine bolognese - and adequate portions, the music was way too loud. Had to tell them to turn it down as it was impossible to have a conversation with my friends.

Service was fair and that's only because one waitress seemed to be doing all the work, while several others appeared content to chat amongst themselves or look disinterested.

Would I recommend Dough to friends? The jury is still out on that one.

What a mess! Arrived to find people standing in the cold doorway and outside because there isn’t enough room for people to wait to be seated without getting in the way of the waiters etc. The man seating people seemed flustered and was quite abrupt with people.

We decided at first that we would buy drinks at the bar instead of having drinks added to the table bill as we were a large party- when I went to the central bar area, the area was a complete mess with glasses all over the place and bits of receipt paper littered everywhere. The staff behind the bar were very stressed and one member of staff had a bit of a breakdown when the orders kept coming in from tables. I had been standing there for 10 minutes being ignored by the staff behind the bar before any of the staff decided to tell me that the bar was actually only for table orders and you couldn’t buy drinks there.

The table staff were friendly but unable to handle a full restaurant- took 20 minutes for drinks that we had ordered to arrive and only after I had asked where they were. Two meals also hadn’t arrived so we had to ask for them which meant that some of our party were sat there with no food when others were eating.

Overall, the food was nice but the service was shocking. Far too many people had been packed into a small restaurant. There were two large party tables that were constantly having their meal interrupted by having to push their chairs in so people could walk past and the staff couldn’t deal with the amount of people. Great that a restaurant is so busy but I won’t be added to the custom again.

£5 a pint, for an average tasting beer, too many pretentious bars cashing in on the success of original northern quarter bars, when it was cheap and cheerful but a great atmosphere, sad state of affairs around there now
