Only found them through a group I joined for machine embroidery. Would highly recommend them. Twice I have ordered and an item was out of stock. The first time they sent an alternative and second time I changed the fabric. Very efficient customer service. I have used another company and they don't let you know something is out of stock until you ask why order is taking so long. Won't be using them again now I have found doughty's

Not been to their warehouse.......yet But what I must comment on is their over the phone service ... Brilliant got hubby to order some fabric for me to collect at their roadshow in Benson just the day before ,,, All collected only for me to come home and order some more fabric again no numbers ( very sorry to the lady who took my order) She was amazingly patient with me .. My 1st order with you . I promise to be more knowledgable next time .. A huge thank you to both ladies who took my orders as hubby was just as vague as me . Well ordered yesterday at 1ish and WOW they arrived at my door within 24 hours xx I can't believe it ... What an amazing team you all are at Doughty's . Thank-You all soo much

Just want to say thank you so much for your beautiful fabric and lovely staff who I dealt with by phone. Tara firstly answered my email query about Fabric leaving me a message by phone and although I kept missing her when I called back I eventually spoke to the lovely Jane who took my order which I received very quickly. I live in Glasgow but will definitely visit the shop when I travel down south to see relatives. Lovely experience and more beautiful Fabric to add to my stash!

I visited for the first time today. It was such a good experience. The choice of fabrics was wonderful, even my husband was impressed. The staff were very helpful, too. I will be visiting again when next in the area.

I haven't yet been to the warehouse (will be) but love the haberdashery and fabric shop in town. They are happy to let me (and my 5year old) browse but are always ready to help and advise if needed. It's like a treasure trove and amongst my favourite places in Hereford.

I found Doughty's by doing an online search for some discontinued fabric and I'm glad I did. I placed my first online order and I have to say that I was very impressed with the excellent communication and customer service. Beci was extremely helpful. I can't wait for my next vacation to the UK so I can browse the store, but until then, I will order with confidence.

I bought some fabric at the Malvern show with Doughtys, then I found I did not have enough. Send an email to Beci who was really helpful, although the fabric was out of stock she was able to re-order for me. She telephoned when she had it back in stock and sent it out the same day.

The friendliness of the staff and excellent service I received was brilliant. I will certainly use Doughtys again.

Excellent service from the Doughty's team. I placed my order, via the internet, on the Wednesday morning. I received a phone call from a very pleasant lady, telling me that there wasn't enough material to complete part of my order. She was patient, kind and informative and I chose an alternative fabric. I was delighted when my parcel came the next day! A fast, efficient service and I would highly recommend Doughty's. Wish I lived nearer and could visit the shop! Thanks to all.

Ordered fabric - was sent the end of the roll with orange highlighter pen and pencil marks on it - was sent some replacement fabric ( a smaller piece) which they then tried to charge me for. When I said the original fabric was faulty I was told that it was only the selvedge that was affected - well I don’t expect to have to cut 2 inches off from both sides of fabric to be able to use it. Disappointing!
