About Dr. Arthritis

Dr. Arthritis is a specialised healthcare company founded by two medical doctors. The brand, markets and sells joint compression products and supports that help alleviate pain and suffering for customers with arthritis and other joint conditions.

Dr. Arthritis Description

We have a passion for arthritis that is both personal and academic. Having experienced arthritis first-hand in our patients and close friends and family, we’ve gained insight into how difficult the condition can be and the number of day-to-day challenges it poses for affected individuals. Therefore, we made it our mission to see what practical measures could be taken to alleviate suffering.

The result is the creation of a range of supportive arthritis products, each expertly designed by our team of doctors. Included with each product is a medically-accurate, doctor written handbook to educate our patients more on the condition of arthritis itself as well as measures to alleviate suffering.

Pain is exhausting. As an arthritis sufferer, pain relentlessly nags you 24/7 and you barely even realize that it has already drained you physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Multiply this tenfold on a flare day--when pain is widespread and overwhelming; and extreme fatigue sets in. Flares are alarming, not just because of the intensity of the pain but because it often comes out of nowhere, catches us off guard, and makes us feel even more vulnerable than we already are.
It's unfortunate that there's really not a lot we can do but rest and let it pass. But always remember that we shouldn't beat ourselves up about doing so either. After all, it's not just our bodies that have to recover during flare ups--it's our spirits as well.

We all know how arthritis impacts our lives. But is there a difference if you have RA or OA? Is it harder to seek treatment? Is it more challenging to get your condition recognized as legitimate if you have one or the other?

It can be very frustrating when you've done all that you can to make sure that you keep your arthritis symptoms at bay. Which begs the question--what causes arthritis to get worse?
Check out this quick video we made that looks into possible reasons why your arthritis symptoms are getting worse and what you can do about it.

Kids get arthritis too--which means they experience the same challenges that adults with chronic joint pain go through. The inherent challenges of arthritis is hard enough to handle as a grown up. So imagine being as young as they are with no clue as to how they can best handle the emotional and psychological burden of their illness, on top of the physical pain.

Who else has a difficult time explaining to non-arthritis sufferers what arthritis actually feels like?
Help us out.
“Painful joints” just doesn’t capture the gravity and intensity of what a flareup feels like. “Stiff and sore bones” minimizes the discomfort and strain our condition puts on our body.
... For us, we’d describe it as having the flu 24/7—when your bones ache and your body feels weak all day—and that’s on a good day.

Arthritis sufferers--who's guilty about feeling guilty?

We smile because we don't want you to worry about us. We smile because we don't want people to think we can't handle the cards we've been dealt. We smile because, as much as we can, we don't want anyone to think that we're going to be a burden.
For anyone with a chronic pain sufferer in their life, keep this in mind and always be mindful that sometimes, not everything is as it seems.

This is one of the most painfully relatable descriptions about what it's like to live with chronic pain. It's a constant struggle, yet somehow, we still find ways to lift ourselves up and be hopeful that tomorrow is going to be a better day.
