Are you looking for something to do tomorrow evening that involves friends, drinks and nachos all based around 10 rounds of tough quiz questions!? Then pop down to Dr Fosters tomorrow night at 7pm and join us for the chance to win a cash prize and a round of drinks between your team!!!

We were visiting family in Gloucester and were taken here for an early dinner. As a group of 4 adults and 2 young children we were unsure if it was the right environment for them. How wrong we were to be unsure ! Everyone had a fabulous meal, including the little ones whose meals were beautifully presented like ours and were far removed from the bog standard frozen pizzas most establishments serve ! Cannot recommend highly enough and look forward to a return visit in the future.

We come here quite often and love the whole atmosphere of the place. They allow dogs inside which is great for us as we always have our little one with us. When we've had food it's always been really good. The only time we are disappointed is when we decide to eat there on a weekend evening and they will only serve food in the restaurant (obviously we can't take the dog into the restaurant) We did notice that there was a bar snack menu up yesterday, hopefully this will be a menu that is available at all times �

My wife treated me to my birthday meal after a lunchtime beer earlier on today in the sunshine �

Had a fantastic gourmet burger - it was really filling, so filling my son didn't want dessert �

Fabulous atmosphere which is helped by the great service of the lovely staff.

Highly recommend Dr Foster's for all age ranges.

Mega busy but we had really great good that arrived really quickly. This place is full of every age group. But it seems to just work. Trendy sets, couples & families. We only came for dinner but ended up staying all night. Great music and a decently priced great range of drinks. Why go anywhere else. We will be back. Thanks guys we had a rocking time.

I arrived early to meet up with some friends. It was my first time in Dr Fosters. The bar area was very welcoming with lots of tables and seating area. I had to wait a good few minutes while the lovely staff were serving other people. I ordered a coffee and a BBQ beef wrap. When I eventually got it, it was delicious. I will be going back again.

I Love Dr Fosters because you let Zebbi dog in, who needs a few cheeky pints to get him through his week of playing fetch.



The bouncers are really friendly, the staff are great and even give Zebbi treats! Good music good atmosphere. Zebbi can't wait to drag me there next week.���

Have been to Doc Fosters for a drink but have never eaten until last night. We had family visiting so decided that as someone had recommended the food here we thought we would give it a try. There was 7 of us and everyone commented about how good the food/service was and the food was all piping hot. The staff where very helpful as well, we will be eating here again and thank you for a lovely meal.

The service was fantastic and all the staff were really nice and friendly. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. We had a lovely meal there and a brilliant cheese cake for dessert. They even accommodated our dogs giving them bowls of water and cuddles.

Post meal drinks for our family group age range 12-65. We were all looked after and felt comfortable, homely even, in this lovely pub!

Love it and can't think of a better venue for the family at 9 on a Saturday evening in Gloucester city centre.

We love going here for a drink and sitting and looking out on the docks, it's a lovely view. However, this week we were in there with a couple with a barking dog. It kept barking and disturbing our enjoyment of a quiet drink at lunchtime. Other than that dog, it was a lovely atmosphere. I complained to the barman and asked if dogs were allowed in. He said yes but he had noticed it was barking a lot and noisy.

So it wasn't peaceful until they'd left, by then we'd finished our drink and about to leave because of the dog!



Can I suggest to Dr Fosters that they add to their signage 'We'll behaved" in front of their signs "dogs allowed"? Then the staff would have more authority to get the badly behaved dogs out.

I have been a responsible dog owner in the past and my dog was quiet and sat under the chair quietly so I know the owners can train them!!!

My friend and me went yesterday ,sat outside and had a lovely relaxing break,food good, service good,young lad I think was the only barman,but so polite,,will go again!

Had my Hen Party here on Sat 8th April and although there was a bit of a mix up on arrival the staff did care and went on to make my evening a success . Well done to the very young girl on duty upstairs that evening , her customer service was excellent for someone with little experience. Food was excellent to

Went last night as part of the friends quiz being hosted there. Asked to order food, told they were not taking food orders for 20 minutes. I was happy that there was a wait but told I couldn't even place an order. When back up about 40 mins later and told still not taking any food orders as only one chef. Such a shame as the food we did see being served looked nice. There was plenty of bar staff (as many just stood talking behind the bar) but not enough kitchen it seemed. Also very cold in the area where the quiz was held. Had to keep costs and jackets on

We were here as part of a family party on Sunday. Service was dreadful - steaks not cooked as ordered, no steak knives offered, cold chips, run out of coleslaw but didn’t mention it until someone asked, food took so long to be served that some of the party had eaten their meal before others were served. Your staff member was very apologetic (giving us extra chips !!!) but really we would rather have had good service.

The melon cider & The Elderflower Cider we’re spoilt as both we’re warm.. Cider should be cold..

Found a table for 10 people to have a drink & a chat that was between the entrance & staircase. Drinking proved to be possible but not the chat! We were the only customers in that part of the pub. When I requested music being turned down it was agreed to, but didn't happen. I offered to put my coat over the speaker and was told the owner would go mad if I did. I might return if you find the volume control or we might just sit closer together & shout!

Very disappointed today. We were regular patrons until the bar menu was changed. Visited today. Most of the wraps werent available, then after ordering and paying one our wraps was unavailable then another order had to be changed. After an hour only 2 out of 5 had been served our order. It wasnt even busy. This place has gone downhill. Wont be coming back again....ever...

They Moved the time from original booking to a later time , and told us we would not have to wait long , drink order took twenty minutes to come and we didn’t get the food till nearly an hour from arrival .
