We had called two other companies trying to solve our rat problem & smells both the previous engineers left without any clear answer so back to Google to check for someone that could help then we came across drainage experts Ltd through seeing reviews on another website and quite a few reviews saying these helped where the others couldn't so we gave them a call hoping they could, they seemed busy as I had to wait 3 days for an appointment which was fine as we just wanted it solved, a young man came at 9am as promised carried out a detailed survey using a very ingenious piece of CCTV Camera equipment and although he could find no fault he perservered and asked various questions the others didn't and then discovered as we had a rear extension built the builders max have left open pipes and covered over a manhole cover so he then managed to lift the flooring and sure enough a chamber Cocker was under the flooring and another CCTV inspection showed there was indeed a problem with this section allowing rats to enter into the property , the solution was to block off the gulleys the previous builders had forgotten to do and zjem to fit a non return valve in the front chamber and we are pleased to say everything is now perfect no nasty smells or rats getting in so from a very happy home owner thank you Michael & team and will be singing your praises.

This is our story: We required a drainage cctv survey for a house in London we were looking to buy. Website was very informative and it all looked very promising. On the day of the survey, we unfortunately could not come to the property. We received our video cd in the mail along with the explanatory report. It was a 1 minute long video. But in fact only 5 seconds was actually the "survey" itself. The rest of the recording was of the camera being pulled out of the drain, and then coming to a stop. When we tried to reconcile what was described in the report with the 5 second of quick footage, we weren't able to make head or tail. We tried slowing down the video and later pausing the video every second. We called Michael to ask for a bit more help understanding the fairly technical report. However, we were told that we weren't experts so we wouldn't be able to understand anything of the video. We then sent the video to another company that had been recommended through an electrician we had used. To quote, it was the "most unprofessional cctv survey" he had ever seen. Finally, we note that off the back of the video, Michael was recommending GBP4000 worth of work.

We used drainage experts for a cctv survey after suspected subsidence was occuring next door and their engineer insisted it could have been from our drains.
Then After 1 company ripped us off by chargeing per half hour as they claimed there was a problem in the pipe and it took them 5 hours to finish and still could'nt tell us .

Then we went on drainage experts site and low and beholod there in black and white drainage experts described what and why other drainage companys charge per half hour and why drainage experts charge a flat rate per cctv survey,well we used drainage experts they were cheaper by miles than the other fools we used and we knew exactly what it would cost and that was peace of mind for me being on my own with 2 young children and afraid another company might rip us off but these guys were honest and knew there stuff they liased with next doors engineer as no problem was found with our drains.

Can't thank you enough guys honest professional and being a smaller company certainly seems to be better than the bigger guys as they just want your money sorry for the long review but people should know there is a difference in the way these cctv surveys are done than maybe it will save someone else getting ripped off
