Bought my car from them a year ago. 1 week after new unit as not working, 6 months paint defect told it wasn't their fault and it wouldn't be covered in paint warranty so would have to pay. After causing a scene they eventually did it. Year later decide to mention on mot that a new cam belt is required despite selling it to me and not mentioning the new cam belt costing £507 would be required only a year later.

Don't go there...

Took my big car to a main Renault dealer near my work (Hull) to check why the front kept popping out the clips at 50mph they said "We can see the clips weren't fitted correctly we can sort that under warranty by replacing the clips, but not for the next 3 weeks as we're currently booked up" so I thought I'd give a local (within 500m of my house) Renault authorised garage a call, booked in for the Saturday (bonus) get a call not 15 mins after dropping it off.
"We can see your car has been in an accident that has caused some damage to the front and we won't be able to do a warranty repair, the whole front needs to come off and be manipulated before fitting the front back on which is all chargeable."

Even after clarifying I'd done every single mile that car has ever done since new and it's never been in an accident I was still told that was the cause.

My car went there for repairs through my insurance company and they did a great job quickly. They even washed and cleaned it before returning it to me! Very pleased!!

Need to seriously sort out their rubbish customer service and rubbish work and their extremely high prices, have used them a few times for different things and they are no better each time,will not use again, quoted £38 to change my wife's headlamp bulb, went to another garage and was charged £15, big difference! Daughter had a small dent repaired cost a fortune and 6 months later started rusting she was devastated it was her 1st car, took it somewhere else and said it should have cost no more than £300 they are only out to extract as much money from you as they can. Avoid

The receptionist at this garage is one of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. It is the 'older' lady and you will know who I mean as soon as you have the misfortune to talk to her. I'm proud to say that I managed to remain polite and courteous, but we won't go back not to be spoken to like dirt. Why they employ her I have no idea. Surely she needs to work somewhere where she doesn't have to deal with people? Avoid!

From dealing with the sales team when we bought the car we couldn't have been more happy in fact we would give them 5 stars if we could. But that said what possessed us to tolerate what we did in their service department I don't know. Rude to customers and we overheard them being rude to staff too, not even making eye contact when they talk to you like we aren't important, asked for a courtesy car and were told "you'll have to talk to sales because we haven't any spare" even though we gave the service lady on the phone 3 weeks notice and requested a car so we didn't have to wait with our new baby in your showroom and i don't know what it had to do with sales anyway it was a sensor fault so clearly a service issue then to be told "sales probably didn't pass the message on" ??? I mean come on pass the buck. We spent 3 hours in the showroom luckily our daughter slept through but that was only lucky. We might be back to buy another car but we won't use them for servicing.

After just having a major service on my 3 year old Ford Fiesta I've just had to replace front brake pads and front brake discs they was down to the metal, this is a driving school car and I cannot believe they did not check the brakes I rang them up they said they would have checked them but obviously they haven't, so I've just had to have the full day off to get new ones fitted as i need the car to teach people to drive in. very very disappointed with them don't think I'm going to use them anymore as when I rang up all I got was sorry I feel slightly conned they haven't checked them at all when they said they have. If you take it to a Ford dealership you expect quality and honesty. So it looks like I'll be using Evans Halshaw from now on

This is a very busy operation run by helpful staff, however due to the size of the operation you are unlikely to speak directly to the member of staff carrying out the work. As a result there can be some breakdowns in communication. Due to the number of cars on-site it can be very difficult to find visitor parking and I have often needed to double park. Accident repair work carried out here for us has been to a good standard, but they forgot to complete the repair and the car had to go back again to finish the job.

I bought my first car from here and from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out I was looked after by Nigel and Fay Drake, they made sure that everything within the car was the best. When I then unfortunately had an accident in it a few months later I rang Nigel up and within 2 days he had it in to repair it and lent me a courtesy car. Both him and Fay are the nicest, most genuine and helpful people I know and they honestly look after me and other customers amazingly! And so is Kev who always goes it of his way! Do not believe the poor reviews because it's rubbish, I've known both of them all of my life and they truly are a credit to Renault!

From our first visit to the showroom to driving away with our new car, I can only describe the whole experience as first class.
This was the first time we have purchased our own new car having had a company car for many years.
There was no hard sell whatsoever, we were always left to make our own decisions but Edward was always on hand to explain the deals and answer any queries. In addition the staff are happy to answer any queries after picking our car up.
Once again, First class and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Drakes Garage.
