The house on the beach in Whitstable where Horror actor Peter Cushing lived for 35 years. He moved in with his wife Helen but she died in 1971, he stayed there till his death in 1994.

The all new Moroccan Spa room at Driftwood Beach House nearly ready. Now with conservatory and Swedish Eco hot tub sunken into large private decked over looking the RSPB nature reserve.

We've just had some great news! We're pleased to announce that Driftwood Beach House has been recognised with a Trip Advisor 2018 Certificate of Excellence, based on the consistently great reviews we've earned on the world's largest travel site.

With the beach at the front and the meadows at the back this really is a place to come and chill out.

What a wonderful time we had !!! Jez and Michelle made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. They've got the perfect balance between being friendly, helpful hosts, but not at all intrusive. To be honest, we could have sat chatting to them for hours- they are so interesting! The way they have designed the accommodation was thoughtful and beautiful, with real attention to detail. We loved our Moroccan themed room and especially our outside area. Seasalter was just as I expected - kind of wild and remote, but Whitstable is a beach walk away, full of bars and restaurants. The weekend was wonderful- a relaxing break from our hectic lives! PS we loved the croissants too��

We stayed at the driftwood for the last two nites, we had such a good time, lovely clean quirky rooms, delicious breakfasts and I love the hot tub! � Jez and Michelle are lovely too, my kids also loved it, a gem of a place thanks for having us x

We have just come back from a wonderful 2 night break. We had the spa room which was decorated beautifully with a massive bathroom and outdoor hot tub! Breakfast was perfect and Jez and Michelle were brilliant hosts. We can't wait to come back! X

We had booked a meal at the Sportsman for our 49th anniversary and stayed here. Very comfortable and value for money. Owners are very friendly and even drove us to the restaurant - not. Very many B&B's would do that. Cannot recommend enough.

We absolutely loved it here. Thankyou to Jez and Michelle, great hosts. Lovely to meet them and their friend and animals. A 2 night stop in Whitstable as part of our honeymoon. We will be back to book the hot tub room. Xx � �

Spent an evening and night here for a friends surprise 40th birthday. Such a lovely, secluded getaway with perfect facilities for our small group but also would be suitable on your own. Amazing attention to detail by the owners who couldn't do enough for us the make our stay special. We stayed in the Moroccan which was just set up which is perfectly named. Amazing breakfast the next morning too.

Spent a lovely couple of nights in the spa room, I can't recommend this place highly enough and definitely want to return.

Perfect night away in a lovely location. We were lucky enough to get the 'Boat House' which isn't normally available. The property is decorated and finished to a very high standard and the decor is exquisite in all the rooms we saw. Jez and Michelle are perfect hosts. We will definitely be going back there soon - very highly recommended! Thanks guys x

Its great , if ya wanna sit outside next to a roaring fire or relax in a hot tub , you wont be disappointed !

Just perfect. We had the spa room with the hot tub. Totally relaxing stay after some very stressful times, time to reset and start again. Jez and Michelle are super hosts, breakfast was lovely. Good pub for food within a 10 minute walk (The Oyster Pearl). We will definitely be back! Thank you so much.

Jez and Michelle are natural hosts and the breakfasts are superb. I took my guitar with me and we ended up having a jam and i felt most welcome playing! Conscious, quality establishment done with a lot of love. Will definitely be returning.

I can't begin to praise this place and the owners enough. This is a class A hidden gem. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jez for making Karens surprise party possible. You're the best.

Had the most amazing time in whitstable for my hubbys bday (July 2017)....Stayed in this lovely beach house in the spa room ... really cute, cosy & comfortable absolutely loved the hot tub, excellent and warm greetings from the lovely couple and yummy brekki served practically in bed �...definitely recommend anyone to stay here ... �

Had a lovely 3 night stay in the Morrocan Room and the room was beautiful lovely unique on suite with a great size room as well for all your stuff. Jez and Michelle were lovely hosts, making sure you was happy and great breakfast served on the balcony in the morning sunshine. Couldn't ask for any more. Will definitely be back!

An absolute sanctuary! My husband and I stayed in the spa room for a rare 24hrs without our children and couldn't have picked a better place! So very relaxing and the decor and amenities are perfect. First class service from the hosts who also seem like a lovely couple. Will definitely return and be recommending to others.
